need neo-angle shower, where to find reviews?
Comments (10)If you had done a search you would find 34 threads in this forum that have information about neo-angle showers. I've linked to one of them where I posted a couple of times and included a photo of ours, which is in the master bath suite. A neo-angle is useful for specific configuration issues. It has worked very well for us. I think I mentioned in the linked discussion thread that we went to a kitchen and bath showroom and were able to try out both a 38" and 42" neo-angle (these were custom tile surrounds and pans, which we were not interested in - we just wanted to try the sizes). I am 5'6" and overweight, my DH is 5'11" and 185 lb. The shower fits us just fine. It isn't the roomiest in the world, but it is sufficient room that we don't knock an elbow against the glass while showering. We do not feel constricted or uncomfortable in any way. The 38" felt MUCH more cramped. It would have been nice to have a 48" neo-angle but that wasn't possible due to structural considerations. HTH. Comments (1)Yes, with proper bracing and good caulking it is possible to put a pony wall on the edge of a neo-angle shower pan. However, I would highly recommend using a solid surface product for the walls and have the pony wall attached on three sides. Also assure that the wall is built thick enough to support the glass hinges. I would get the glass company involved at the start....See MoreChoosing tiles for floor and wall with neo angle shower
Comments (4)I have a new angled shower in the works and I am doing the same tile on floor and shower walls (12x24). However my bathroom is larger so I chose to do a larger format (24x24) on the floors, and I did matte to make it less slippery. I used a small different tile on the shower floor though....See MoreNeo angle shower
Comments (2)Is your son hanging onto the panel to enter or exit the shower? Shower doors are not manufactured to be strong enough to hold a person’s weight. Certainly, have a professional reinstall the glass into the frame. At the same time, look for an ADA grab bar to assist your son. Towel bars on shower doors are NOT grab bars. The metal extrusions are not meant to hold weight beyond the glass weight. You might ask your son’s therapists (pt or ot) for help in solving the problem of entering and exiting safely for his specific needs....See Morebill_vincent
