before purchasing from either HD or Lowes find a local glass shop and have the measure and price a custom semi-frameless neo angle shower (I would recommend header only, thus semi-frameless). You may be pleasantly surprised at the price and I guarantee you will end up with a much better product than the crap they sell!

A couple of suggestions I might try, presuming you're blowing the whole thing out (apologies in advance, my terminology's never quite right): - get rid of the baseboard heater and put down one of those electric mats under a new tile floor. If the room's over a crawlspace, you'll appreciate the even heat. - extend the shower across the top of your drawing, with the shower entry along the window side. In this configuration the window may be part way into the shower, so you may even want to put in a smaller frosted window. - move the pedestal sink down beside the toilet. If you can, maybe put the sink closer to the door and the toilet closer to the shower.

I have a channel along the top of the glass that spans the doorway. It is a heavy "H" shape with radius sides. The door pivots between the channel and the floor. My door swings a full 90° plus in either direction. There is no metal anywhere else, but the wall tile was installed so the side glass fits between the tiles. The glass fits into the space where the grout line would be.

I am considering the same question, but I'm debating a custom Corian pan versus tile. Walls will be tile. No way would I do all acrylic in a master.
