WOW, Luvs, that table setting is wonderful. Really like your floral centerpiece in the first pix. And your veggie basket vignette, Irish Stew. LOL. Your elf in next to last pix is really a cutie, and of course I love the bunny!!
Like your chandelier....we must've been on the same wavelength, cause I did mine today too!! I bought stuff for first time last year, but sure didn't get much it seems.
By the time I did my bay window, the chandelier, and redid that Valentine wreath I'd made, I didn't have enough left for my stacked plates. LOL, guess I NEED to go to Michaels now. Especially as I have no ribbon to make bows. Stoney needs one for sure, plus the life-size dog statues inside as well. Here's the wreath I did today but it may be a work in progress.

Your table is lovely, the runner is very pretty, are those shamrocks embroidered on? Very pretty with all the white & green & the shamrocks on the plates.

Luvs, your table came out wonderful, great job! Everything pulled together very nicely, the plate with the sentiment is a very nice touch too. Love the bunny too, but I know you know, how I feel about bunnies LOL

Karen, your wreath is very nice. Love the green berries on it and the little leprechaun guy. Glad you "got" my sense of humor about the Irish Stew. I thought I had a big hat last year, and I wanted to put the veggies in it, but I can't find it anywhere. Sometimes I "hide" things from myself it seems. LOL

Yachter, that is a scarf that I found at the little Assistance League TS. It has the shamrocks printed on it and the words Ireland in one corner--I thought it would be perfect for a St. Pat's table.

Thanks Judith, this one was fun to do, and I just love the funny little face on the little leprechaun by the plate. I don't take things too seriously, so this fits my sense of humor. I think I will try to find some salad plates with shamrocks for next year and some green glasses. These wine glasses have a green swirl on them, but it doesn't show up well.

Can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with.

luvs...that is a very pretty table. I like the center piece, the plate with the saying and the scattered shamrocks and gold coins. I am also partial to bunnies...lol...and I see yours is all dressed up for the occasion...:)

Tam, I never made wreaths till last year and then I tried doing a Xmas one. I've had this grapevine one in my garage for several years, LOL. So I decided to try making it up on Valentines, and now St Pats. Kind of fun to play with it. Kathleen, i went to Michaels yesterday to get some St Pat ribbon, and they had plenty but it was 3.99 and I could only get one roll at that price. Dollar Tree had none at all. I'll watch for more on sales tho, for next year. One roll won't do too many large bows unfortunately. I'll put one on "Stoney" on the front porch and see how much is left for inside dog statues.
STILL don't have enough to do stacked plates tho. I might have to do them sparse this year since Dollar Tree not co-operating with the St Pat stuff. Wish I'd bought more at sales last year. Michaels still had a little Valentine stuff at 70% off I saw.

There's a common idea that when French-speaking people learn to speak English at school, they start with sentences such as "My taylor is rich" or... "Your flowers are beautiful".

In reality, I saw in my son's English lessons that this is not the case, lol (I didn't learn English at school except two weeks in December: I'm born and grew up in Brussels where we learn to speak Dutch, an unnecessary language).

But, I will write this classic sentence:

Your flowers are beautiful! Really!

By the way, what's the temperature in your area? I noticed that your door is open...

Properity, The flowers on the table are not real, just some I bought at Michael's craft store, but thank you. It has been in the low to mid 70's here, that's why the door is open to the patio.

There's no way I could learn another language in only two weeks. Your English--written anyway--is so good! Amazing in fact.

Glad you are enjoying our little celebrations. Has Kathleen told us what she will be cooking for St. Pat's yet? She always manages to make our mouth water, doesn't she? ;o)

Hoooooooo, Luvs! Lucky lady! 70 F??????? That's +/- 20 Celsius... WOW!

Here, the sky is blue, the sun is shining and it's cold and another day, the sky is grey and it's raining (and it's cold, lol). We haven't had hot weather since April 2007! I am pleased to see that, elsewhere, the weather is nice and HOT ;-)

I haven't seen Kathleen's pics or recipes since Valentines... I have to say that I'm missing her delicious pictures.

Moreover, I'd like to learn what you'll elaborate and eat at St Pat.

I think the traditional meal for St. Pat's is Corned Beef and cabbage. Then there's also Irish Stew. I may do the corned beef if DS and DIL will come for dinner--my DH won't eat it, so I'll have to make something else for him. Oh, and I think green beer is sort of popular too, but for most, any beer will do! LOL

Luvs,nice job on your St. Patrick's Day decorating! You have a nice variety/collection of goodies. Irish Stew & Corned Beef Cabbage sound very good and don't forget the Irish Bread! :)

Karen, nice work on that wreath. I bought a book on wreath making quite some time ago and I have really enjoyed just 'looking' at the pictures! lol

Well, cabbage: I love it as long as it's not... read cabbage (don't know if in English it's the right name). For corned beef... I don't know since we only find canned corned beef here and while my grand-ma eat it at least once a week - memories from the second war - it's not something that I like to eat.

But maybe you make your corned beef yourself and don't use a ready-made one?

Thanks Jim. It was fun to do, and I'm not good enough at decorating to take it too seriously--so I just try to have fun with it and do it for the pleasure it gives me.

Wanna hear something fun? Even before I found this forum, I always tried to do a little something special for a centerpiece for our family gettogethers. My DIL enjoyed it so much that she started doing it too. I just love it when I go over and see how she has added some pretties to her table now too. ;o) We all have to eat, so it's great if we can make it pretty and fun too.

Love your St Pat's decorations. I've been out of the country for a couple of weeks and missed Valentine's Day. Now it looks like I'm late to the party for St Pat's Day also. Not too much left at my local stores. I missed the early shopping planning my trip. There's always next year!
