St. Pat's Table, finally

AARGH!!!! I spent 20 minutes creating this post and the computer burped and the entire post was completely gone!!!

My dining room table for St. Patrick's Day.

I used TS plates, heirloom crystal, flatware that Kathe and I both own, and some TS mugs. The shamrocks in the center of the plates are from DT. The silver/green candlesticks are from GdWl this winter and my Celtic Cross that I use for several different decor settings.

Well I wondered where you were!! :) I figured you were getting in some golfing time since the weather had been nice, well, except for the gale force winds over the weekend! I hope that by doing your wonderful St. Pat's decor your funk was lifted even if just by a little bit?
I love the dessert plates with or without the shamrock! And of course I love the flatware ;)I never think to buy when I see only two of something like your mug vases! You are too good at this!

Sweet table, Candy.
The dessert plates are so pretty. I love the flat ware too.
The Celtic Cross is perfect as the centerpiece.
You used just the right amount of whimsy and formality.
I would love to sit there with you and all our friends here on Holidays.
I really hope your funk has lifted!

Nope. If they did have them, they're all gone now. Well, it was fun going there again. I know that I'll start visiting there regularly now that I know the fastest route to the place. They had a very poor section of St. Patrick things too. Said they wouldn't be getting any more in. It isn't even March yet, and they won't be getting in any more St. Patrick's stuff! Nuts to that. I also looked in the Mardi Gras section. Nothing on sale there. Did get four plaster-like crowns that were 50% off. Three were bright pink and one black. I plan to spray them gold and use them on next year's Mardi Gras table.

Thanks Jim. It was fun to do, and I'm not good enough at decorating to take it too seriously--so I just try to have fun with it and do it for the pleasure it gives me. Wanna hear something fun? Even before I found this forum, I always tried to do a little something special for a centerpiece for our family gettogethers. My DIL enjoyed it so much that she started doing it too. I just love it when I go over and see how she has added some pretties to her table now too. ;o) We all have to eat, so it's great if we can make it pretty and fun too. Luvs

Thank you all so much for the inspiring words. I am truly grateful for all my blessings and I include all my forum friends as part of those blessings! You are just the best! Punk, I will post pictures when we get the cabinets installed as they are just stacked in the garage right now and we aren't replacing the doors and drawers until we "put them in their place", LOL! Nana, fortunately, the leprechauns were well behaved this year, although now that I think about it....hmmmm Marlene, The leprechaun was given to us by some former neighbors who were moving and knew how much I liked to decorate for holidays. They thought he would be better off with me, LOL. I just started colleting a few Mark Roberts fairies, but the calendar pages are inexpensive substitutes for the real thing! Karen, probably part of the funk was due to being tired, and withdrawal from golf! We hadn't been able to play until recently as the course was closed because of snow and ice. We finally have had some good weather and were able to play, although we have had some horrific winds! I really dislike wind and that doesn't help my mood either! I'm sounding lilke Oscar the Grouch, but it does make me grouchy! Jeanne, you are so right, each day is a blessing. Sometimes I forget to count them as I should. St. Pat's Leprechaun Table

I found another leprechaun at the TS today. He matches the one to the right of the picture in the CP. This one has a squeeze box (little accordian) instead of the pot of shamrocks. I also found a package of shamrock confetti in my sewing room that I forgot I had so I will be scattering that on the white tablecloth. I wonder what else I have that I've forgotten? I would like to find some more of those little B & B plates, they are such a pretty green. Frou, thanks, you still have plenty of time to do a table. Punk, can you believe I had 12 of the octagon placemats and found 4 more that matched at a TS? That should hold me for the holidays unless, I really have a mob show up, LOL. Nana, I have not found a lot of leprechauns, but when I saw the one today that matched the one I already had, I had to buy him!! Glad you enjoyed the table. TTFN, Candy

Candy, so glad you posted. Love your decorating and esp your tablescape. Your dishes look so perfect for this table and I love the wooden chargers. Love the silverware and the celtic cross. I made a sad little green ivy and berry centerpiece and truly ment to set a table with the green after christmas chargers (10 cent ea from Walmart after Christmas) with a cream tablecloth and green silverware ( Christmas gift form DD) with my white Pfaltzgraff heritage dishes and some little desert compotes with shamrocks, and green TS napkins, but with everything going on right now it just didn't happen. Maybe next year. Thanks for sharing, and I full well understand being in a funk. With my Dh 's dementia, and the kids having serious marital problems, I AM REALLY IN A FUNK. TAKE CARE AND DO REMEMBER ME IN YOUR PRAYERS, JANET

candy...good to see your St. Pat's table here! Am lovin' it all! The 'Enablers R Us' group has me on the look-out now for a bargain lil 'wee person' like I've seen posted on these St. P tables this month!

Green & gold just look so GRAND tog! Love how you use the 'little things' to add to a GRAND table...the shamrock confetti...the framed postcard...the fringe runner & carrying that motif for napkin rings!

Such a pretty table, and my favorite shade of green. Its such a great color I think. You have so many neat things for St Paddy's!! I'm loving that flatware too!

Janet, I feel your pain! My oldest DD is having marriage/financial problems right now too! It sounds like you had the perfect items for a beautiful TS. So sorry about your DH. I should appreciate mine more, even if he is an emotional vacuum.

Karen, I was very excited to find those "new" candlesticks as they were perfect for this table. I like emerald green a lot, even if it isn't stylish right now.

Punk, I have been experiencing a lot of difficulty with this site today. It has been a real effort to compose this post. Maybe that is what happened to your post?

Candy...sorry I'm so late posting.
This table with all the St Pat accents, makes such a pretty statement.
I like the green runner with the Celtic Cross CP and
the different pieces you added to it.
Also I like the way you accented your beautiful dishes with the
Shamrocks for an added touch.
It all adds up to a great looking table!
