I actually did decorate for St. Pat's Day

I have been putting in extra days at work lately and also working on painting cabinets for our our house in Sedona. We are putting them in the room that we remodeled after Christmas. Painting them here to take down and install.

Also, just been in kind of a funk, so haven't been around for a while.

I really did decorate for St. Patrick's Day, but just didn't get it posted. I created a vignette for the tea cart.

I think OA and I have the same Amish cart,

Candy, sweeeet! Pretty clover tea pot and dishes. So many cute little lads you have displayed here. Your tree is beautiful. Neat idea framing the calendar page.

Sounds like you are a busy lady. Do share pictures of your painted cabinets when your done. Hope all of this decor brightens your spirits. Glad you found time to post pictures.

Glad you enjoyed my little bit of St. Pat's decorations. I really do love St. Patrick's day, especially all the limericks! My large apothocary jar came from my one and only visit to Nell Hills in Atchison, Kansas several years back. I've enjoyed having it there although it's sometimes a challenge to figure out what to put in it. I had forgotten that I put some little blocks that spell out IRISH and some green flowers in a pitcher that matches the little pot the daisies are in on the mantel. I just sort of added in a few "green" things here and there with the normal decor. My heart really wasn't in it this year with so much other "not so good" stuff going on right now--but it's a good distraction for me and helps cheer me up a bit. I know Karen and some of the rest of you can relate to that this year too. So what's next? Some Spring decor or right on to Easter? Nana, what is Colcannon? I like green jello too--but not DH, he doesn't really like much of anything "green" when it comes to foods. LOL Kath and Candy, I can totally relate to not remembering things from a year ago! Heck, sometimes I can't remember why I opened the refrigerator door! LOL Jeanne, are you all well again? Sure hope so. I keep watching to see if my hollyhocks are coming up. Would be thrilled if they do, but if not, I have plenty of seeds left to try in another location. No, I didn't do the lettering on the little plate, I've had it for a few years now. Nana, those daisies are real, had to get them for my little pot because they had green centers--perfect right? Jane, thanks for the sweet comments. Is your Dad doing okay now? Hope he's back home and doing fine. I need you to come decorate for me, you have such a knack for putting just the right things in the right places. Emaly and Marylee, I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my little leprechaun and goodies. Next year, I'll try to pull the rest of my stuff out and do more. Karen--bunnies for St. Pat's? If I show you them now, what will I have to share for Easter! Ha ha I do have a few bunnies scattered around the house and yard, but not nearly as nice as yours. Kareen, I just had to buy that little plate because I loved the verse too. Just figured I would work it into my tablesetting since that is the only place I am decorating! And I will be having DS and DIl over for corned beef and cabbage--but I will have to take this apart and wash everything before that since I've put it up early so I can just enjoy it. LOL I stuck the things on the kitchen table as a whim for the fun of it--but guess what? DH sorted the mail, threw part of it away, put the rest away and didn't leave it all over the table! Guess he thought I might want the table to look nice at least one day! LOL Luvs

I found another leprechaun at the TS today. He matches the one to the right of the picture in the CP. This one has a squeeze box (little accordian) instead of the pot of shamrocks. I also found a package of shamrock confetti in my sewing room that I forgot I had so I will be scattering that on the white tablecloth. I wonder what else I have that I've forgotten? I would like to find some more of those little B & B plates, they are such a pretty green. Frou, thanks, you still have plenty of time to do a table. Punk, can you believe I had 12 of the octagon placemats and found 4 more that matched at a TS? That should hold me for the holidays unless, I really have a mob show up, LOL. Nana, I have not found a lot of leprechauns, but when I saw the one today that matched the one I already had, I had to buy him!! Glad you enjoyed the table. TTFN, Candy

Ann_t, thanks. You said you don't like carrots, but you didn't say you dislike them. So there is hope. Jasdip, thanks. Just typical traditional ingredients for a corned beef meal. Trailrunner, Thanks. I visit a few other forums. There is so much interest recently in sous vide cooking with several sous vide cookers at around $200. There must be at least 10 who I know of went and bought SV cookers, and they are not even typical home cooks. They are grillers and smokers. dcarch

I'm so glad you were able to decorate....and amazed since you've been ultra busy, plus dealing with the Funky Blues.
Everything looks so cute. I always enjoy seeing your little white tree, and the tea cart. You do them up wonderfully each holiday. That Amish cart is a great little piece to 'play' with too. ;o)

Lovin' the lil' green wood cart & that tall post Leprechaun beside it! That framed fairy pic is very cute ...nice calendar page SAVE! Am glad you are back to post some pics...not only has the Forum had Garden Gnomes causing issues ...but the 'Funk' epidemic has been spreading! Now it's the 1st Day of Spring so let's hope for a 'renewal in spirit' & taking each day as a blessing (even if it is in disguise). Hugs, candy! Jeanne S.

Punk, I will post pictures when we get the cabinets installed as they are just stacked in the garage right now and we aren't replacing the doors and drawers until we "put them in their place", LOL!

Nana, fortunately, the leprechauns were well behaved this year, although now that I think about it....hmmmm

Marlene, The leprechaun was given to us by some former neighbors who were moving and knew how much I liked to decorate for holidays. They thought he would be better off with me, LOL. I just started colleting a few Mark Roberts fairies, but the calendar pages are inexpensive substitutes for the real thing!

Karen, probably part of the funk was due to being tired, and withdrawal from golf! We hadn't been able to play until recently as the course was closed because of snow and ice. We finally have had some good weather and were able to play, although we have had some horrific winds! I really dislike wind and that doesn't help my mood either!
I'm sounding lilke Oscar the Grouch, but it does make me grouchy!

Jeanne, you are so right, each day is a blessing. Sometimes I forget to count them as I should. I get caught up by the personal issues and don't see the big picture.
