Decorated for St. Patty's Day

I played a bit this morning. Got my St. Patty's day flag hung outside. Realized I need to paint something to hang on my lampost--I usually have some little sign or figure on it for each holiday--I don't have anything for St. Pat's.

I set up my dining room table, really could not decide whether I could use a tablecloth AND the new placemats, so settled for just the placemats. Only tablecloths I have are ivory linen and some lace ones. I have a hard time deciding between nice and cutesy--so I do some of each! LOL

The kitchen table should make you laugh--I just did it for the fun of it--not for a meal. Enjoy!

Wow, another great table setting, love the picture with the verse on it with the rest of the centerpiece! I love the little "buttons" on the napkin, that is a great idea and fun. And a special yummy to the bottle of champagne "under the glitter hat!

Luvs, Your tablesetting looks wonderful. I love the Irish verse on the plate and the special St Paddy Day touches on the napkins with the green and white dinnerware. And after dining in your lovely dining room your guests can retire to the kitchen table for more St Paddy's cheer. I love the coins and shamrocks scattered around.

Thanks for the compliments and encouragement! The castle is actually a teapot, the center "plate" is actually a stepping stone and I have no idea what the emblem on the goblet means...it was a catalog item from Gael Song. The garland and the picture are pictures I downloaded from the web and I got the garland idea from one of the bloggers on the Graphic Fairy's website. I made a much bigger one for Valentine's day and liked it so much that I thought I would make a smaller version for this holiday as well. It was fun putting all of my TS and YS finds together to make this little display.

I really enjoyed St. Pat's Day. Wore my green tee shirt and a pin that said "Irish Blessings to ye" and headed off to a local diner with DH for a corned beef sandwich! Hmmm, now it's over--does that me I need to get busy and "undecorate" today? LOL Luvs

Marilyn, that's cute! Not Irish, but DH and I married on St. Patrick's Day. It was the day we met and his memory is so bad that I decided he would remember our day if I didn't throw too many dates at him. So, corned beef and cabbage is our anniversary dinner. 18 years and counting....

After looking at the house tour post I am feeling pressured to start decorating for Christmas...if I start now I may make it!!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. It was fun to do. DH even noticed it when he came in after work. Just said "Are we doing a little St. Patrick's decorating?" Not one word about "where did those dishes come from, or how much did that cost?" Can you believe it? ;o)

That house tour post was just gorgeous. It wouldn't matter how soon I started--I could never decorate like that! It was a beautiful home AND beautiful decorations!

Dining room decor is lovely, and the kitchen totally fun....but where are the bunnies? Since my cats like St Paddy's better than Valentines, can they come over and play at your house?

What a great display , and really fun. Love the saying on the plate and the little coins and really like the lush looking greenery . Whats best is you don't have to do a fancy dinner(all that work) .....just enjoy the tablescape.Kareen

Karen--bunnies for St. Pat's? If I show you them now, what will I have to share for Easter! Ha ha I do have a few bunnies scattered around the house and yard, but not nearly as nice as yours.

Kareen, I just had to buy that little plate because I loved the verse too. Just figured I would work it into my tablesetting since that is the only place I am decorating! And I will be having DS and DIl over for corned beef and cabbage--but I will have to take this apart and wash everything before that since I've put it up early so I can just enjoy it. LOL

I stuck the things on the kitchen table as a whim for the fun of it--but guess what? DH sorted the mail, threw part of it away, put the rest away and didn't leave it all over the table! Guess he thought I might want the table to look nice at least one day! LOL
