Fire Blight

I can't seem to find any info on this so maybe others have had experience with Fire Blight.

Will Fire Blight spread from one species to another? For example I have a Black Cherry that has Fire Blight.

Will it spread to other trees? Even other trees that are suceptiable? Can't find if its host specific.

Utimately I don't know if I need to cut and burn the tree down now, or if I can wait till fall and cut it down, then burn it early winter after it dries out.

One arborist said the sooner the better. Another said you can leave it but it will continue to decline. Then online sources say to limit the infection, but try to wait until after late spring/early summer to dispose of since that is the time fire blight is active.
