Fire blight, yikes!

Faith

I’ve got a little “orchard“ with two youg apple trees, two pears, a plum and a tart cherry. Plus a few ornamentals (weeping cherry, crabapple) all planted in the last 1-3 years.. I was horrified to discover that my two apple trees have fire blight. I went in to Echter’s and the woman there sai there’s nothing to be done (too late to spray, and if I cut above the branches I’ll kill the little trees), and that I should watch and wait. But ive been reading up and im wondering if I should pull them out to protect the other young trees In the area? If I do pull them out, can I put new apple trees in the same spots, or are they contaminated now?
