I didnt want you to feel ignored. ;-) You might want to repost with a more detailed subject line. Like Newbie needs advce about choosing wood floors. Ive noticed that the floor guys are very nice about answering stuff but they only tend to answer posts about their kinda floors. If it was me Id take up the laminate. One because you need to fix the floor so its stable no matter what you put on it. And two because I hate laminate. LOL. Seriously. I clean houses and I prefer real wood. It cleans up easier and it wears better. And it looks better too. Also it can be repaired easier. You can do wood if its a guest bath and you use rugs. But if its a real bath then Id go with tile. Ive gained a lot of experience on how different materials clean and wear from my cleaning business. Its helped me a lot when I pick stuff for myself. Personally I like stuff that looks good without having to baby it.

And is the dark spots because of the sun or because of the water droplets? Probably not--what you will have to be attentive to is watering--because you live in a very warm and humid climate, you will need to water very, very sparingly. Echeverias come from areas of low humidity, and you have high humidity. Because of your high humidity, they won't need much water. Make sure your plants are in a very free-draining gritty mix, and be very careful about watering them. When you do, keep water off the foliage. The plant can grow out of the spotted foliage eventually.
