Yes, I am home and bummed out about not being at the swap. I had so wanted to go but this danged medical problem I had and have even has me almost house bound. Three more weeks to freedom. How is your garden this morning and sorry to hear abot all the damage those guys did. I learned the hard way also not to allow anyone to assist me.

I'm around, enjoying this glorious weather today! The swap is just a little too far away for me, gas money is tight. Plus I am going to see my nephews for their birthday next weekend and right now I'd rather do that, the swap does sound like fun though. I'm going to snap a few pics today of my cuttings from GWers that are doing well.

Auntie, I agree that with the gas prices it is a bit far to travel,but it is worth the gas, time and hassle to go. The bar-b-que is to die for as is experiencing Rickey's garden, but that is not the eason I desire to go. I have nmade many wonderful acquaintances bordering on friendship here and it is so wonderful to be able to see them and give and receive hugs. I love going because the people are worth the trip. The plant swapping, etc are just great extras. I also love making bourban treet peacan pies to take as it is the only time during the year that I make them. It is like Christmas to me. O have had to miss the last three or four due to finances and now health and finances. It makes me so sad.

I am enjoying the weather abd am working in Rickey's garden (the croton that he has shared with me and gotten me addicted to) and reminizcing about swaps in the past. I am happy that you are going to your nephews' birthday party as it sounds like lots of fun, You are a special loved lady and I am glad to have met you online here. I wasn't able to go this time either either. But I have been lucky to have gone before and Ricky's garden is lovely. I am spending the day outside in mine, I've a lot of pruning to do.

I'm home too. I'm so glad for those who went, they have a beautiful for a swap! Can't wait to see pictures and hear all the stories about the swap.

I am going against doctor's orders but I am having a blast with this cooler weather and spending time with all my GW friends as I repot plants that were given to me and remembering the time we spent together. I am going to be trying some new recipes soon that I can share at the next swap I am lucky enough to attend. I am now a lot happier as my fingers have been in dirt though I am careful not to get any near my Picc line and I have it covered with a plastic sleeve and I have my foot covered and I am digging carefully and not getting dirt all over me as usual which takes part of the fun out of it, but things are looking up, Lime Ma Nature, those dang stinking, good for nothing, tresspassing weeds along with that obnoxious, onery and downright nasty air potato vines have taken over my outside plants and then my Florida room olants are eiher half dead from lack of water while I've been laid up or they are totally out of control. The other good thing about today is that I have thought of wonderful things to make for Christmas gifts for my friends at work and my friends here that will cost little but mean a lot. I am full 0f energy and ideas and being cooped up gives me time to do some of these projects and each one will be made with lots of love and memories with promises for tomorrow.

I am searching high and low for that danged memory card and if I do not find it soon I hope to be able to purchase a new one the first of the month if I get permission to return to work. I have pictures to take and sharw with you guys and more than anything I wish to say thanks to those that have share plants, seeds, pictures, knowledge, hints, and friendship with me. That is what makes this site so special because you gardeners truly care abou your plants and fellow gardeners and are as generous as most gardeners are.

Now I am back out to tackle those alien intruders in my garden if I have to take dynamite to get them out. I may have to hoop a rope to the air potato vine and hook it either to the back of my husband's power chair I am hving to use or to the back of the truck to get their claim-staking, claim-jumping feet off of my property. (limping away mumbling and cursing and cursing at those unwanted intruders with a flame thrower and dynamite in hand and a gleam in my eye) I need Tony's help here.

My yard is coming along. I've been working on it. I have someone coming today to buy some plants. I wish they would take them all, sometimes. I have so much trouble keeping them watered in the winter. I always lose some in the winter from lack of water, and some in the summer from too much water.

Bill and Carolyn used to have great swaps years ago in Cape Coral. I wonder what happened to that crowd? Bill & Carolyn, Robin, D.J., and a bunch more. Where did they all go?

That's where I got a lot of my plants I have now. I know what you mean about gas money, though. I had the offer of a ride to share the gas, but I can't even afford that. It's a long ride from this side of the state to the other side! I just figured I'd save the gas money and buy some more mulch.

I'll make it to one of his swaps one day. Right now, I need to concentrate on what I have, and getting this place under control before I start getting anything more.

Got home from church, my son is the pastor and we all have our jobs.Afterwards got some weeding and potting done as well as duck duty. I am potting some caladiums in my BIG cobalt blue pots. Also have beem pulling and potting my mikweed so its easier to get control of the bugs. I moved a Hoya inside my porch,is that the right thing for it? Oh and I pulled some small candletree starts to repot but Im soaking them. I need to move my Lucky nut tree before it gets too happy against my house.I have s apecial starting/hospital area that plants love and he needs to be released.Also a small live oak from earth day and some awabuki starts that are getting big enough.Going to Home Depot later for some cables and to check out their veg selection.

I also didn't make it to Ricky's. I'm sure everyone had lots of fun and exchanged lots of wonderful plants. I look forward to seeing pictures and hope someone remembered to take pictures this time. : -) There were no pictures from the last swap.

It was such a nice overcast, cool, breezy day that I worked in my potting area today. Trimming an overgrown ixora that was covered in dang potato vines, pulled weeds, watered plants in containers and helped DH with a couple of projects.

It was a nice day, not cool enough here yet though. Chilly weather would be welcome.

Yes maybe a car pool would be the thing. Maybe next year, I know some of the Brevard GWers I've met have been great, I can see why a larger meet would be even more fun. The barbecue sounds good, too, although I'll put my 'cue up to anyone's *G*. Hmm sounds like a good idea for next weekend.

It was a lovely day here, mostly sunny and breezy and dry. Did some cleaning, tinkering with new plantings, and wondering if I still have time to plant my bell pepper seeds (oops). I took my dog out to the doggie park and let her run around, that was nice.

Hi all-
I went to the swap, and it was wonderful. The barbecue was wonderful, and we had such a nice selection of side dishes. Lots of hugs, smiles, plants and more plants. I know about the cost of gas. It's killing everybody. That and the price of everything else.

I've potted up some things since I got home, made dinner for DH, and just kinda reminiscing in my mind. Re-acquainted with some I met at last Spring's swap, and we had new faces too. It's been such a blessing for me. So hard to move around, not being able to make friends quickly, then turn around and move again. It's been isolating for me, this moving around trying to keep the hubby employed. But we've lots of company there.

Like everybody else, I'm enjoying having a break in the weather. I broke my loppers the other day, trying to cut back a very overgrown hibiscus. It's been pretty hot til recently, so things are quite overgrown for me here.
