Hadn't been on in a couple of days and was pleased to see you were able to restore all the lost messages. There is some very valuable info here and I appreciate your working to restore it. Kudos! Sheri :)

It IS great that we got back the pages listed at the bottom, for sure, but we haven't gotten the archives back, which consists of hundreds and hundreds of pages and posts. So if you do a search for something from last year, say, it no longer comes up. I'm still hoping they are working on that, but in my heart, I'm afraid that wealth of info is gone forever.

Very sad! But again, very glad to have what's below.

No archives? Wow, I sure hope the webmaster is working to restore those. Has anyone been able to contact him/her about locating the lost archives? I hope they are not permanently deleted. Sheri

Nancy, as far as I know, you can't even do that. If you try to remove all content and repost (the updated, blank posting), it results in an error message. It appears that there has to be some content but I don't know how much. I don't think you can edit a previous post to a blank post. By the way, this thread is a year old. I chose this one for testing so as to not annoy users by using a thread that had subscribers. :) Carol

Sunnyk: Sun Sugar has been a great tomato for us too. Even with all of the heavy rains (and some hail), not one of the little beauties have split. It's the only hybrid tomato I will keep growing next year. I also use red plastic on my containers, mainly to keep the soil from splashing on the tomato leaves, but you also might try it to increase harvest time next year. Happy Tomato Eating, PJ

I joined the GW back in 2001 I think....looking for Container Gardening and then Cottage Gardens....one day I found my way to the Cooking Forum and have never looked back. I am a very Senior and thought I knew alot about cooking.....was I wrong! From this CF I have learned and learned and put all to use. Just wish I had all those previous years to do again and put all this late knowledge to use. From what you post and say I make a mental picture of you all and even imagine how your kitchens look. It is a mind game. For all the internet negative there is so much more positive and the GW is one of the good. Thank you all for the entertainment and knowledge. Shirl.

Sheri, I know several people contacted the Powers That Be when we lost everything, but I don't know if they have been told that they archives are still gone. So I don't know if they are still working on it, or if they think they fixed it and have gone on to other things. I will ask around and see what I can find out. Those archives held an amazing amount of knowledge specifically for Florida, and it would really be a shame for them to be totally gone forever.
