Plant these 5 native species to bring beauty to the garden — and pollen to the insects — from June through August
Full StoryHey, look at what I found today...some of my rudbeckias on one plant are all WEIRDY lookin'! What's up with that?
Deformed blooms front and center, with normal ones below:
Normal plant with some sparse blooms from Vincent Godsiff showing through behind it.
Another view of a normal plant. (That green area behind the birdhouse is where my pond is going. And that's mostly dichondra, not grass, out there.)
Anyone know what caused those doubled looking blooms, with extra centers and petals, both?
