Marinated Fiddle heads ?

I have a Fiddle Head question? I do not remember the exact ingredients. But I pretty much made them the same as you would a marinated Dilly beans or Mushroom. I am now having second thoughts. Should I have pressure cooked them? Or is the vinegar going to make them OK for a pickled type marinade? Please help. I would like to give some away. I myself have eaten them in the past. But these are about 6 months old. I just do not want to make anyone sick. I have been lurking for a long time. So I know someone must know an answer. The knowledge on this site is awsome. Thank you.
