young foliage on.. 'The Ancient Mariner'...
Comments (3)Beautiful! If it would retain those colors you could use it it as a foliage plant, and flowers would just be a bonus. Too bad some breeder doesn't attempt to breed for foliage color as well as desirable flowers. But breeding for one trait at a time is difficult enough, without trying for half a dozen, lol....See More'The Ancient Mariner'.. today..
Comments (42)@noseometer...(7A, SZ10, Albuquerque) I purchased one in 2019 because of Marlorena’s review and tempting pictures and then purchased another this spring. It’s a beautiful rose and has good disease resistance. Decent repeat and moderate fragrance so far but hopefully both will improve in time. I like the warm heart of the spring blooms. They were a medium pink the rest of the year....See MoreRoses today.... I'm trying again...
Comments (23)Thanks so much once again... you all have lovely gardens, including yours Trish, I've seen them.. but I know what it's like, sometimes I see a rose in another member's garden and think that I'd never grow it so well, so no point in me trying .. Lisa, yes my foxgloves self sow, but I also grow fresh for the following year.. I like to choose my colours... I was impressed that you knew the grass, I'm not sure I would have known that.. I like it as it does well in sun or shade... Carol... yes I got a bit of practice in there... thanks again......See More'The Ancient Mariner'... spring foliage plus rave review..

The blooms have the lavish look of the Centifolias. Seeing the spring foliage reminds me of potted roses for sale at local nurseries in May, so often irresistible, especially when in bloom....See More- 4 years ago
