Ummm Jan, the spider is right up my alley. It's a beauty. I love the curly wings on this one and the apple/forest green throat. Gee, I wonder what happened to my Chinese Watercolor. I had it for years but haven't seen it bloom for about 3 yrs. EA is a beauty too and SFO is another....Wonderful pictures...Ellie PS. If you didn't get rain, you probably will by morning. Just beautiful, Jan. I don't know how the photos could be any better! Do you have a special camera? That is a really cool spider! I will have to try to get some next year. Chinese WAter Color has the most interesting colors. Love it! I love Frank's Fire Opal and Mandalay Bay Music, just feminine shapes and shades. I'll have to see if they fit my budget and locale. Enjoy your blooms.

Oooo.. pretty! I can't wait for my Chinese Watercolor to bloom... but I just planted it, so I am **TRYING** to be patient - you photo helps! I have been eyeballing Frank's Fire Opal... what a pretty, clear pink! Thanks for posting the photos... always nice to see them in the garden!

Aren't the colors on Chinese Watercolor great? Mine doesn't even have scapes yet. I'm just hoping it's not too shady where I planted it. I have some seedlings out of it. Some of them may bloom this year. I've been trying to spider it up. Frank's Fire Opal and Lois Burns are another couple that caught my eye.

Ellie...thanks, Lois Burns is really struttin her stuff this year. I think it's the prettiest it's ever been for me. I've had it for years, but I moved it to another location last year. I think she like it there. :)

Missylin...nope, no speical camera, but a good one, or so it seems. Believe me, it's the camera doing the great job on the photos, not me. LOL I just planted FFO last fall so this is the first time it's bloomed for me. MBM has been in my garden for a few years, I love it, but it's a slow increaser for me. I've used it in my hybridising efforts and hope to get some nice babies from it.

Nancy...thanks, glad you enjoyed my photos, and to answer your question about PS, yes, that photo was taken in the afternoon because I was at the hospital yesterday morning with my MIL, and couldn't make photos until later in the day.

FSG...you're going to love CW..the colors are beautiful, and FFO is lovely too, especially for an FFO.

Debra...be sure to post photos of CW's babies when and if they bloom. I'd be interested to see what they look like. What did you cross it with...just curious. :)

Those are all just gorgeous. I ordered Chinese Watercolor a couple of years ago, when it bloomed I just about cried. It was NOT CW, I was so disappointed. After seeing your pic, I think I'm going to have to order it from somewhere sometime SOON.
