Viburnum

I have what I believe is a hedge which is about 25 feet long consisting of Viburnum Suspensum. The plants get plenty of light and good air circulation. I have noticed that half way up the face of the hedge on one of the plants the leaves are dying and turning brown along with the branches. There is no mold or soot on either the leaves that are dying or on the adjoining leaves. This does not appear to be related to the recent freeze as this damage was occuring prior to that time.
