wintering over actual tea roses

Does anyone have actual tea roses in a cold winter climate? If so, how do you over winter them? Would it be a good idea to grow them in containers and move them indoors under lights for the winter? I have done that with some of my bands that were too small to put out with the hope that they will grow some over winter. I have been eyeing posted pictures of Gen. Gallieni and might want to give him a try. I just think it is too cold for him here in the winter. Has anyone in a cold area grown tea roses in containers and brought them indoors over winter with some success?
