From a very different climate, zone 5-6 in central Sweden: As usual, Gruss an Teplitz, Duchess of Portland, Stanwell Perpetual and Bonica are the late bloomers. Madame Isaac Pereire is struggling to open her last blooms but is not likely to succeed in our present humidity.

Teas and Chinas and smaller Noisettes here are still going full-tilt, with no signs of slowing down or stopping. 'Souvenir de St. Anne's' is also in full floral regalia, and many other repeat-blooming roses that haven't lost too many leaves to blackspot are basking in the finally-cooler weather and reveling after six inches of desperately needed rain. 'Stanwell Perpetual', and various other old-school Bourbons and hybrid perpetuals, are spitting out the occasional flower as they tend to do. Rosa moschata 'Plena' is winding itself up with some massive candelabras of bloom. It's slightly odd to think of California finishing before we do.

We're having our second year of confused weather and I don't know what awaits me in the garden. We finally got 8" inches of urgently needed rain in late October, it's warmish and sunny, and the Teas and some DA roses are making new growth. Flowering after nearly four months of heat and extremely sparse rain is only spotty, it hasn't gotten down to freezing yet, and I doubt we'll have much of a flowering so late in the year, but with this weather, who knows. To answer your question, 'Vanity' tends to be in bloom when nothing else is, also a creamy white Hybrid Tea/Tea of great beauty, dignity, and toughness, which I got as a cutting from my neighbor and the name of which I don't know: it sounds similar to 'Puerto Rico' and also resembles the Italian found rose 'Bianca di Corbara' (introduced by Walter Branchi) and may be identical to it. Oh, yes: 'Maréchal Niel', 'Jaune Desprez', 'Mme. Antoine Mari', 'Mrs. B.R. Cant', 'Duchesse d'Auerstaedt' all get a little water and are all in flower.

I think that is about it. Of course, the above roses are most of what I have in my garden, so I have lots of bloom. While the amount of individual blooms are less than in spring, most of these roses just keep on bringing it on.

I haven't been out in the garden for a couple of days but last week I had a lovely bloom on Compassion.

I'm just on the phone with my mother in Minnesota (northern zone 4) - the roses still blooming include 'Golden Wings', 'Marie Pavie', 'The Fairy', 'Cuthbert Grant', Carefree Beauty, Iceberg, and Knockout; Grimaldi and Friesia (Sunsprite) have buds, and Veteran's Honor has been frozen in the bud for a while.

I always love my Clotilde Soupert in the fall. It seems to be the happiest in cool fall weather. I think I get more blooms on it this time of year than earlier. Or maybe it just feels this way because many other plants are closing up shop for the season. Also the blooms take on a different quality in the fall. The centers of the blooms are a much deeper pink.
