I got lavender lassie last year and it has been by far one of the fastest and healthiest roses (at least for me in zone 6, northern jersey). When it blooms, its COVERED with dark pink blooms that look beautiful. There is a scent, but I wouldnt consider it amazing. Ive smelled stronger. It's a very vigorous rose and I always get compliments on it though. It blooms in flushes, so there are times where it is just green. Overall its a nice rose, good luck with whatever you choose.

I had Lav. Lassie a long time, growing on a bank with little direct sun or care. Under those circumstances, it did not repeat at all, and it routinely defoliated from blackspot. It was lovely during the spring flush. It was slightly or moderately fragrant to my nose.

I recall Lori in Md. saying hers also defoliated and gave little repeat in half-day's sun.

I haven't grown it myself, but Lavender Lassie has a reputation for not being that great a repeat bloomer. These two roses also look very different, so it would also depend on what kind of flower you prefer.

If it is a very large arbor, Nahema and Laguna are strong growing, very fragrant pink climbers with some blackspot resistance. For a normal sized arbor, maybe Heritage, a large shrub that is trainable, nearly thornless, and fragrant. It is susceptible to rust if that is a problem in your climate. Renae is a nice small climber with light fragrance, also not too thorny.

Lavender Lassie is a flush bloomer here. It provides two heavy bloom cycles each year. Once in spring and another in fall. It is not a rose that will have a few blooms on it here and there after the spring flush. Instead, after the spring flush, it puts on lots of new growth and then reblooms heavily in a fall flush once the weather cools down. In a BS heavy region like Seattle, I would go with Jasmina or Laguna instead of Lavender Lassie.
