It's gorgeous. I would use it to outline a minigarden, such as pansies or small carnations or miniature day lilies or whatever small flowers you're fond of. Or, prop it up on some of the bricks you have in the picture and use it to contain a floppy rose to keep it more upright. I wouldn't use it as a trellis, it would look too top-heavy, I would think. Close to the ground would probably be a better look. The design of this piece seems perfect for your style of garden.

In a Mini Garden, such as Ingrid Suggests, you could incorporate Micro-Miniatures, interesting large-ish rocks, and maybe a teeny bird-bath, even.

I like the idea of using it as sculpture. I'd turn it on it's side, secure it to the ground and use the circle to frame a lovely view.

Some of the other ideas from Garden junk were about the same, an outline for a small garden or a smaller garden within my larger garden. Originally I was going to use it as a surround for a small tree and plant flowers that would flow over. But then I didn't want to line it with landscape fabric or anything black.

Another great suggestion was a border for a small fire pit.

I like the thought of using it as a planter though because as Ingrid said, it is a perfect match with the walls I'm working on.

This idea just came to me as I was outside with my rambunctious mutts.....since I am working on an English "style" garden and this piece kind of looks like the top of a castle (sort of with the knobby things), what if I use stones to make a circle planter....raise it higher than my walls, maybe waist high and put this piece on top, so it looks like a castle. I can then plant a rose or two that will cascade over. Any thoughts on this idea? What would be a good rose....seafoam?

There are so many things you could do with it. It reminds me of a crown. You could suspend it from a tree and hang glittery bits of metal and glass from it as a sort of giant windchime. Or create a garden ornament and add a mirrored panel to the back and prop it up somewhere unexpected in the garden or mount it to a wall. Maybe add some stained glass to the cutouts in the side. Or just buy a new circle of glass sized a bit larger than the table, you can get them from Pier I, turn it over, and use it as a low plant stand in your house on the patio.

linrose, "reminds me of a crown", that was my first thought also and I see it hanging with LED lights, sparkles and glitter, with sheer mosquito netting over a water feature.
It's a great piece to have fun with! Lucky you to have the wisdom to keep it. Did you do something with the broken glass? That can be such fun too!

It reminds me of the top of a wagon wheel pillar that Kaye in Arkansas used to grow roses on. I think she has a picture of one in one of her postings on the antique rose gallery.
