Age of Cecile Brunner?

I posted a request for identification in the GardenWeb Name That Rose forum (original post with pic is here: http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/rosesname/msg0513361623665.html?1), but it was suggested that I also post it here. Several folks have identified this rose as a Cecile Brunner. We live in an historic home, and the previous owners told us that this rose was "historic," which to them basically meant it was very old.

I know the bush has been here a while, but I'd like to know what exactly that means. Can anyone offer some insight on how to tell the approximate age of a Cecile Brunner? If this rose is indeed very old, I would like to do my best to preserve it as a part of our historic property.

Here is a link that might be useful: Name that Rose
