I assume a snowthrower? with regular drive wheels and not tracks? Model #s/ type of equipment would be great. Regarding the recoil, is it actually engaging and pulling the engine over? If it is pulling the engine over, and it truly has no compression, it would possibly be a stuck valve- or worse a broken rod. Internal anyways.If not, maybe it is frozen and can't engage. Has the machine been sitting out in the snow or possibly re- frozen? It is a snowthrower..sorry....it is gear driven not chain. the model number is 31AS6BCE752...It has been left out after snow blowing. a friend was here and we got it started....the wheels were turning and it was working fine then we shut it off and restarted it and the wheels are not moving and it will engage the blower but will not move...the rubber drive wheel is not up against the drive disk... it seems to be something mechanical.we used wd40 and made sure everything is freed up..or it wouldn't have worked for a few minutes.

I tried loading a Craftsman two-wheeled chipper up my long aluminum ramps, with the wheels going first. HUMPH! I couldn't get it up the ramps, which are 8 ft. long. So i turned the chipper around and put the wheels at the lower end, and it went right up! It isn't powered wheels.

If that is what you are seeing, I suspect that Agrifab has used a "push nut" or push lock shaft retainer. These generally are good for "one time only" and usually get destroyed in the removal procedure. One thing you might attempt (if you can get some pliers in there) is to grip the push lock and pull toward you while turning or twisting the push lock on the shaft. If you can get a grip on the thing, you might be able to coax it off this way but you have to be able to actually rotate the lock on the shaft while holding the shaft from turning AND pull toward you all at the same time. Good news is that if you destroy it, they are not too hard to find, and cheap. Big home improv stores or hardware stores usually have them. Another option. . .a stainless restrauant style work table. Although mine isn't on wheels, the plastic feet slide/move just fine on my tile. The legs and bottom shelf are galvanized steel and aren't quite as "rough" in real life as they appear in the picture. I think they will clean up nicely with a little paint. If you purchase it from a restraurant supply, you can get them with lockable casters. This one came from a favorite local restrauant that closed because the owners decided to retire after 40+ years in business. It's 24 x 30 and I got it for $100. I had looked at more expensive tables (John Boos), but was nervous about dropping that much $ and it perhaps being too big for my galley kitchen (32 inches on stove/sink sides--but I'm a solo cook). Anyway. . .this is perfect for now. If I do decide to replace it with a Boos, I know the size will work and this one can go out to the potting shed. . .but I really like the utilitarian feel of this one. . .and the price was right!!
