I have Nimbus & Biokova Karmina in full sun & they seem to do great, although I tried Karmina in part shade last year. It seemed to bloom longer but died overwinter for some reason. I have just Biokova & another unnamed one that does best in part shade.

Redsox, does yours perk up after it's shaded awhile? If so, it's just conserving it's water. If it stays wilted, it most likely needs more water. Make sure it's mulched and water deeply when you do water it. I have h. 'Endless Summer' in a sunny area where it gets sun from around 9am to 3pm. It droops too bur perks back up a little while after the sun leaves the area. I have hardy geraniums in areas that get sun almost all day and they do well. Of course you are further south than I am. How long have you had yours?

The 2 Rozannes are new and very tiny. I try to water them a lot and they are mulched.

I also have either a Karmina or Bevan's, I'm not sure since a friend gave it to me. About 2 years old and it wilts and perks up, as a hydrangea does but I feel like it either doesn't like the sun or could use an inordinate amount of water.

'Rozeanne' is a geranium that would prefer a little afternoon shade in your zone. Other types can take full sun.

My g. 'Jolly Bee', which is very similar to 'Rozanne', gets sun from around 8am to 2pm. When it get really hot, it'll look 'dragged out', but comes around after the sun isn't on it. If you have a spot where it wouldn't get all that hot afternoon sun, that would probably be best for yours. It may still droop a little when it gets really hot, but as long as you water deeply it should be ok. Watering deeply is better than lightly watering a few times a week. I normally water once a week. If we get one of those really hot, dry summers, I'll water twice a week, but that's it.
