Full StoryI have an old Weedeater straight shaft string trimmer. While not the best machine, it has served its purpose and seems to have plenty of life left.
The manual states that the flexible shaft needs to periodically lubricated with Weedeater's shaft lube. I haven't been able to find that lube in years.
I was wondering if I can use a gear oil to lube it and if so, what weight?
It seems when I did use the Weedeater brand lube it was a heavy weight.
