Deep red roses for a hot climate

I have been admiring Jeri's photo of Sombreuil and Prospero together. Wonderful!

I have Sombreuil, who is very happy here, but a deep red rose like Prospero is more problematic.

I tried Barcelona/Francis Dubreuil, but it crisped in the sun badly.

I have William Shakespeare 2000 planted mainly under an apricot tree. The blooms that poke out into the sunlight crisp, but the ones in the shade are fine.

Kim recommends The Squire and that is for southern California.

Is that in full sun I wonder?

The local gardens, do have deep red roses in them, but they are hybrid teas with awkward growth and NO perfume.

Strong perfume is a must for me.

I thought I had asked this question before, but cannot find the thread. Perhaps it is just old age confusion and brain death!!
