Hmmm, I'm in Birmingham, and the fact that it didn't go dormant yet looks that good in the Summer is awesome! The link below is the NCSU turf identification tool that might help you out. It has lots of pics and info to help figure out what grass you have. Please let us know if it helps, because I would love to have grass that looks that good in the summer and stays green all winter.

Do you have an extension office anywhere near you? If you take some of the grass (with some roots, at least one spot where it branches off, seeds if you see any) to an extension office, they should be able to help.

I am not much good at identifying grass from a picture.

That is crabgrass and some bermuda all jumbled into one.

I agree, looks like smooth crabgrass to me with some bermuda grass.

If it were crabgrass, wouldn't it have died during winter? Also, bermuda would've gone dormant so if it were really crabgrass and bermuda, the whole lawn would've been brown, but it wasn't. It lost a little of its green color, but nothing like bermuda does.
