Help me finish this chesterfield master bedroom
Comments (9)I agree that bedding is the place to start. I personally like to start with Pottery Barn because they have a nice selection of texture, color, patterned bedding without an overwhelming assortment of options, like an Overstock-type store does. And because they also sell similar headboards to what you have, lots of their bedding would look good with yours. If the the PB pricing happens to be outside your range, you can frequently find similar bedding - at least the solid color quilts and duvet covers - elsewhere, at places like Overstock and Target. Personally, I love and have the PB linen diamond quilt (purchased on eBay); it has nice texture and solid color. Then I change out our pillow covers/shams a couple of times a year so I have different seasonal looks. This link takes you to the blue version of this quilt but they have several pretty colors. https://www.potterybarn.com/products/diamond-linen-quilt-sham-blue-chambray/?pkey=cquilts-shams&isx=0.0.230 I like the furniture line beckysharp suggested, and agree to not match everything. Do you need both dressers? If you happen to have a master closet, can some or all of your clothes go there? If you don't need both, you might have room for a chair or two, if you would use them for reading or lounging or whatever. Although I have to say I put a reading chair in the corner of our bedroom and we never use it. The cat does, though, which helps keep her and her hair off of our bed....See MoreTwo master bedroom bedding options, please help me choose!

Comments (51)I'm not a fan of any of those options...for various reasons. Mostly because the style/scale as well as the tone doesn't look like it would compliment the bed.....although without links hard to know. The Bernhardt nightstands in your pic from Haverty's are 40 W x30 H x21 D. That is why they don't look dwarfed by the bed. Do you have room to do something like the pic Penny posted? Basically a simple open rectangle with a sturdy leg? Another thing I'd consider is taking a look at kids' dressers/desks. Some are even similar in size and shape to the Bernhardt nightstands.... https://www.perigold.com/furniture/pdp/smiling-hill-4-drawer-dresser-sta6494.html?piid=17238112 Another approach would be multi-tiered side tables, not these exact ones obviously, but again something with enough heft and presence to play nicely with that bed....See Moreplease help me style my new construction master bedroom!
Comments (5)These are some pieces I had saved as inspiration, I think this is the look I am going for like a distressed white paint with a natural wood top. I was thinking a wide chest of drawers On the bigger wall leading to the walk-in closet, with the TV on top of that. I hate exposed TVs but idk what other choice I have. (TV is for my spouse). Then in the smaller wall leading to the walk in, I was debating a taller chest of drawers, or perhaps the vanity angled in the corner and a lingerie chest type set of drawers next to it for my make up? I currently am using an IKEA Alex drawer set for my make up and perfume and it’s very functional but I want to replace it with something that matches better. Or, I was thinking of angling the vanity and one of the back corners? Not sure if that would work though. I was picturing nightstands below the window but still on the hunt for these as I want them to look a little different than the rest of the furniture, still matching but not identical. Perhaps a white weathered wood with a mirrored top?...See Moreleeanneschultz
