A wonderful example of Arts and Crafts architecture, this house in Newton, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston, was built in 1889. The homeowners wanted a design firm experienced in producing thoughtful and eye-catching spaces. The husband, a noted concert pianist and professor at the Berklee College of Music, enjoys offering performances with colleagues for his friends and wife. Dane and the Boston design studio team preserved several charming features typical of the period including the home’s lead glass windows and Victorian-era millwork.
