The owners of this Boston penthouse had lived in a traditional Victorian home for 23 years and sought a big change. They wanted their penthouse to have a modern aesthetic that possessed an ease-of-use and high functionality for everyday living. Comfort was a priority. My Boston design studio created sleek, pared-down interiors with low-slung lounge seating, floating consoles, and modern Italian pieces as a nod to the client’s heritage. I used color sparingly and chose an open-plan layout for the kitchen that flaunts an in-built bar. For the narrow dining area, I chose a Keith Fritz dining table complemented with Roche Bobois dining chairs.
