You wear it well. A little old-fashioned, but that’s all right

Do you think this bed is too old fashioned for a boy's room?
Comments (18)yea! I'm so glad I asked here. It has really pretty Greek key pattern inlaid (which I'm sucker for) and the side rails are attached to headboard/footboard by a turning bolt instead of the hook-on hardware. Here's a close up of the details I have some David Hick fabric (Fiorentina pattern in chocolate print on deep blue back ground) which I am thinking of using for throw pillows. Don't know if that is too much. (fabric on left chair) I know this is very far from Plane Train & Automobile but it's never too early to start a boy off on the right (design) path! :-) Thanks again....See MoreOf all things, I need fashion advice!
Comments (26)I would wear a statement necklace. You could go big, chunky. Or you could do V-shaped, or multi-strand, waterfall style. Just a few from Walmart. (Kohls and BonTon, if you have any near you) also have a nice selection of statement necklaces.) BBQ30 coupon code gives you 30% off at Kohls right now, til the 21st. http://www.walmart.com/ip/38463549?reviews_limit=5& http://www.walmart.com/ip/38463553?reviews_limit=5& http://www.walmart.com/ip/39405709?reviews_limit=5& http://www.walmart.com/ip/37651613?reviews_limit=5&action=product_interest&action_type=title&item_id=37651613&placement_id=irs-2-m1&strategy=PWVAV&visitor_id&category=&client_guid=f7e4e670-1850-4e52-a645-59911edc1787&customer_id_enc&config_id=2&parent_item_id=38438000&parent_anchor_item_id=38438000&guid=601d78a6-2278-4b7a-9994-c555803e25fd&bucket_id=irsbucketdefault&beacon_version=1.0.1&findingMethod=p13n...See MoreEverything old is new again: fashion version
Comments (49)Marlene, I almost spit my coffee when I read your reply! You are too funny! LOL Never heard of units.. in the 80s I was in high school and college. I wore a lot of esprit and limited items... tiny waist, baggy body pants/jeans with over sized cotton or linen tops.. or those very deep V sweaters from the limited! Ponchos, especially, have been back for awhile. I love them-- both dressy and casual. Aran sweaters weren't really something I thought went in or out of style-- I consider them a classic (though I don't wear them) like a button down shirt. They are too bulky for me and I don't wear crew necks (unless in a cardigan) so just not something I wore. I do wear fair isle sweaters and have for many years-- but i am VERY particular about the design. I like the icelandic ones. I consider toggle jackets pretty classic too-- like barn jackets. I don't wear either of them because the shape doesn't work for me but I do like them. Shoulder pads? LOVED THEM.. loved the drama and yes, I think they also balanced my shape-- which back then was a tiny waist, wide hips (and broad shoulders!). I actually added shoulder pads to things that didn't have them-- or that didnt have enough padding!...See MoreFashion designers you used to love and wear...
Comments (47)I did buy one label. My BF in junior high and I went to Mervyn's so we could buy genuine Sonny and Cher labeled outfits. I bought the pants in the picture. But was a petite little hard belly and I rocked them with the mating halter style tummy tickler they came with. The low cut hip hugger pants and top were bright yellow daisy print. The eyelet was white with a bright hot pink/fuchsia velvet ribbon at the knee. The top had the same eyelet at the bottom with the ribbon. Wish I still had the outfit . It would be worth something today. My friend bought a more conservative outfit in turquoise. It was in a poorboy (vertical ribs) knit with large bells and a babydoll top. The pic is not me. I was a lot smaller than that girl. I just found the pic on the net to show the pants....See More- last monthlast modified: last month
