I have a silk scarf that I bought in 1968. Does that count? We had a shop that the hippies used to frequent and the wannabes tried to look cool. I bought the scarf because it was the only thing I could afford at the time. I was 17.

The crucifix I wear is over 50 years old and looks brand new. It was a gift from my parents. I am on my second chain though.

I have rarely-worn foundation wear and slips from b probably the '80s. Hey, they still work on the rare occasions I need them, although it's been awhile for the slips, I wonder how the elastic is doing? I wear a size larger than I did 25 years ago (thanks, babies), and two sizes larger than 50 years ago. My beloved rambling boots sit in the closet as a happy memory.

DH gave me a pair of cashmere-lined black leather gloves for Christmas sometime in the late 80's and I still have them. I only wear them to drive in the winter. I've never put on another pair that fit so well.

My mom sewed my daughter and I matching bathrobes when she was three. I still wear mine. She's 30 now.

I had a BOWIE T shirt that I loved and wore for many years since 1973. It finally died some where along the line. Can't remember when.

My daughter isn't happy that I have a clothing bag in the attic with a few of my favorite wool dresses from the 60's. I'd love to give these to a community theater group. But in my bedroom, my drawers are full of tees, turtles, and sweaters that are 20/30 years old. And man, are they made so much better than today's clothes. All 100% cotton or 100% wool.

The leather boots circa 1976? Outdoor scarf and matching gloves circa 1968? VERA silk scarf from 1950's but I don't wear it. Wedding ring circa 1979? Moms cotton bathrobe she bought to move into college dorm 1942? It doesnt fit me but lives in my closet. My boots are very heavy and very thick leather. I think they are Italian made but I’m not sure as the insides are worn smooth and I can’t see any printing. The soles are Vibram and have tiny little screws in them. LOL, I feel like Frankenstein in them.

I don’t wear them as often as I used to as they are a pain to lace up. I find them to be best on muddy or wet terrain.

My Cabela's raincoat is about 35 years old,

I have an insulated plaid shirt/jacket that my brother gave me for Christmas back in 1981 when I was a freshman in college. It's pretty worn and ragged now but still does the job after 45 years. I'll wear it to my grave!

Lonejack, my husband has/had a faded Levi jean jacket from the early ’70s. The last time I saw it the collar had worn through and detached in spots at the back.

I think he still has it somewhere. I know that I have seen him in it within the last five years.

Speaking about to the grave. I love the smell of Red Door perfume. I know, I know…it’s an old lady perfume. My daughter hates it. It’s a go to gift that my husband buys me whenever he sees an empty bottle in the bathroom garbage can. I’m always well stocked with it.🦨

I’ve told my daughter to spray any leftovers around my funeral service so folks can still smell my presence. 😄

I still wear two cashmere sweaters my mom wore in college in the 50's. I also have a few pieces of clothing from the early 2000s when I finally felt I was making enough money to purchase a some nice pieces. I wore one of the jackets to work today.

He doesn't wear them, but he's still got them. His wellington boots from high school. He'll soon be 86!

My dad's boots from the early 1960's or maybe even earlier. My father had a small foot and my mother had a large one, so they both would tromp around in these when working outside. They are much too large for me, but they are one of the few sentimental things I cannot bring myself to throw away. I think I will frame them in a shadowbox if I can find a framer locally.

Fun2BHere, I have a Stetson that my father had custom made when he first arrived in Canada from the UK in 1954. It even has his initials AGS in the band.

My mother and older sister came a few months after him. My mother said she burst out laughing when he met them at the train station in Calgary and he was wearing it. She had just finished an Atlantic crossing, then a 4-5 day across country train trip from Halifax. She said that Canada seemed so strange, and big, and barren compared to England….and then my dad showed up looking like Tom Mix! LOL, my dad was the least cowboy guy I knew.

I still have my army jacket my dad got me at the surplus store in the 1960's. Can't button it now, but it makes a good show. I wore it to school when I was teaching one day, and all the kids wanted to know where to get one.

Nothing better than a good pair of worn in leather gloves and boots! I hate when I lose a good worn in glove!

@roxsolid, Your dad's hat and my dad's boots look like they belong together. My dad had a few cowboy-type hats, but I never saw him wear them so I didn't keep any of them.
