I haven’t watched in several years now. They were getting too long, and then I wasn’t seeing the movies that were up for awards. I know I have missed some amazing moments, though.

For the last couple of years, I have wondered why either A) there are still separate award categories for male and female, or B) there is not a separate award category for female director, cinematographer, and some others.

I no longer watch the award shows. I just go straight to Vogue to look at the dresses! There were few weird or offensive dresses. Quite tame. I liked Rose Byrn's a lot. And the train on Teyana Taylor's Chanel gown was beautiful.

I watched the movie Sinners last night, though.

If anyone does decide to watch Sinners, keep watching after it seems to be the end. There’s an ending credit and then it goes back into the movie. And then more credits and more movie.

I enjoyed Sinners.

I watched One Battle After Another a few weeks ago. I enjoyed that as well. I almost shut it off after the first ten minutes. I’m glad I didn’t. Sean Penn, who I think is an excellent actor was very good in it.

We watched it. We found the host to be awkward and stiff. Nothing was funny.

No, havent for years. Did look through several fashion mags for dresses. I wonder what the OP didn't see as I saw as much skin as ever. Also just now checked out greatest moments and the memorials. Missed nothing worth seeing/hearing from what I can glean. Nice Bab's sang but her voice is gone which was sad to put on display. HOLLYWOOD is dead, and what's left needs to be left off the airwaves.

I like Conan O'Brien in standup and comedic situations. His style is intellectual comedy. His words aren't in your face funny, you often have to think about what he says to get the true meaning or picture he paints. A style along the lines of other cerebral comedy geniuses like Robin Williams, Steve Martin, Jonathan Winters, and Mel Brooks.

I watched and enjoyed his opener and then left the room for my wife to enjoy the rest of the program.

We didn’t watch but heard similar comments this morning. If that was the case, definitely beyond refreshing. I think I remember Conan O’Brien making comments a while back about the need for Hollywood to tone down the politics. Not sure…maybe he was just referring more to late night TV hosts. Wise words either way.

I only tuned in because I like Conan O'Brien - I am not a movie person and the only movie even mentioned that I saw in the last year was F:1, which I only saw because my son and grandson invited me to go with them - oh, and Brad Pitt. And I couldn't believe it was nominated, tho I enjoyed it. A couple of movies nominated for things sound interesting, so I will probably seek them out.

I think a lot of the Conan stuff was lost on me; I assume it was movie referenced, like the clown face and the kids chasing him...I didn't think it was funny but figured I just didn't 'get it.'

I watched it on Hulu after the fact, when I returned home from an evening seeing Fran Lebowitz on stage. Now THAT was a night of great entertainment!

I liked how Hamnet and Begonia sounds like off brand lunch meat! Corny, I like corny I guess. Oh and when he claimed to being perhaps the last human to MC the Oscars!!

The Singers, which won in the Oscar shorts category, is well worth looking up, saw it at Manhattan Shorts and then again at Oscar shorts - very glad they won (in a tie - the other movie is hard to watch, not for everybody)

Kate Hudson tending to adorable Grogu in the audience while Sigourney Weaver and Pedro Pascal pointed out he can't clap made me aww-cute-laugh:) I'm not a huge Disney fan currently, but they got me with Grogu and the Mandalorian - and loved Kate and Goldie's photo together -was Kurt there?

I enjoyed the Bridesmaids on stage , especially Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy (I haven't even seen Bridsmaids, must remedy that)

I thought it was rude they cut off Kpop Demon Hunters, it would be more enjoyable for me to let them finish their acceptance speeches properly and that made me feel bad.. if a few go on and on, that's no reason to punish the rest, and that's not what was happening anyway...

I felt like the songs got short shrift

The memoriam portion drew me to tears, especially the group on stage, Michael McKean, Meg Ryan, etc. for Rob Reiner - Billy Crystal did a very touching recap.

And I sure would have loved to hear Barbra sing the whole song !

Some of the gigs were cringe but I still enjoy their efforts to entertain ! The clothes are very impressive, I loved the green theme and Demi Moore was the most beautiful Raven ever !

Looking forward to Devil Wears Prada 2 ... fashion movies are good fun (Ladies in Black, Phantom Thread, and [what's the one where a housekeeper gets fitted for a dress in Parils?]

I must get back to that genre...

I didn't get Conan's opener but after Amy Madigan won Best supporting actress and they showed the clip it made a little more sense - can't get into horror movies at the moment, which is why I haven't seen Sinners or Frankenstein, but loved Michael Jordan's acceptance speech, great voice ! I was glad to see Jessie Buckley win for Hamnet, as expected, although that's another one I haven't seen....yet?

I loved Conan's closing joke since I've seen One Battle After Another , beware the corner office! Also enjoyed Jimmy Kimmel

Lastly, that reminds me of Kumail Nanjiani, he was funny ! Took a minute to get into his routine but I ended up laughing - 'you only get one battle'
