Has anyone ever used one of these coffee makers???
Comments (2)They're called a vacuum pot or coffee syphon -- I have the Hario Nouveau and they do make a great cup of coffee. That said, it seems to me that the main function is to be a little piece of coffee performance art. You definitely won't be making your morning cup in this thing. Mine has a little alcohol burner, rather than requiring stovetop use like in the video (have to preheat the water first, though). This makes it great for an after-dinner cup at the dining room table or coffee table at a dinner party. It's a fun little conversation piece and, in skilled hands, quite comparable to what you can do with a french press. Here is a link that might be useful: Hario Nouveau...See MoreUse washing machine supply for washer, ice maker & coffee maker?
Comments (5)You can find the parts you need at any local hardware store and they are relatively cheap. Parts You need: 2ea. 1/4" compression needle line stop valve 1ea. 1/4" compreesion Tee 1/4" copper tube to make the additional lines. Tools you will need: Tubing cutter to cut the copper. (I prefer a mini cutter for 1/4") Two wrenches that fit the valves..(two 8" adjustable wrenches would do fine) Cut the pipe where you want the tee to the first appliance. Remove an and cap off the tee but be careful, there is a tiny brass ferrule under that cap that you need. First slip the cap on the copper with the open side of the cap pointing towards the cut end of the copper tubing. Now slip the ferrule on the tubing. (the ferrule looks like a miniature mans wedding ring). Insert the end of the pipe into the fitting as far as it will go, then slide the cap forward, pushing the ferrule up against the end of the fitting and screw the cap on the end of the fitting finger tight. Now hold the fitting steady with one wrench while you tighten the cap with the second wrench. Follow the diagram in the illustration I am attaching and use the same technique to tighten all the fitting caps....See MoreHow do I put the infuser back into my Wolf built-in coffee maker?
Comments (3)After some time on the phone with Wolf, we finally figured out that the tube at the bottom of the infuser was extended. It's like a suction tube so it wasn't moving at all, nor did I think it was movable. Turns out, it was in an extended position and once it was pushed back into place, the infuser fit back into the machine....See MoreHow do I cap this ice maker water line
Comments (6)Aha! I see it. Well you could simply shut it off and disconnect the plastic line. But it would be safer over the long term to also screw on a cap in place of the fitting with the plastic line in case the valve seal started to leak at some point....See More- last monthlast modified: last month
