OT: Laundry detergent ad question

last month

I've used eco friendly laundry liquid as long as I can remember. It's concentrated, "free and clear" (no smells or colors), and with evolving packaging to use the least practical. (I don't like the sheets but they're the ultimate.)

So...What's with the Tide? They're advertising that more concentrated cleans better! But, even if you're doing a pretreat, you use some water.... And if you're putting it in a washer full of water it's all diluted anyway. I don't get it. I just don't. Unless they mean you're supposed to use the same amount? But the whole point of concentrate is they're shipping less water so saving transport fuel, packaging, etc. Right?

What's up?
