Pampas grass. Green all summer, turns a gorgrous, almost glowing golden color in the fall and gets big plumes.

btw the 'Pampas Grass' above is actually a Miscanthus, not a Cortaderia. So not PG.

@floral_uk z.8/9 SW UK, I wondered about that being PG also. In our state, pampas is considered invasive in the southern part of the state. I wish they would declare it invasive everywhere.

I have been fighting one person on our condo committee to not use it on our property. Despite a year’s worth of meetings, multiple advisors who verified it’s bad behavior to the group (when she was not present), and a vote by the committee to not use it, she bull-dozed her way at a meeting when i was not there and apparently it’s being planted somewhere. I am quitting the committee. @nicole, sound familiar to you?
