DS likes unscented glycerine soap. I like unscented Dove bar soap; I accidentaly got ”regular” once and when I realized its scent permeated our bedroom even, (two days), I relegated it to the ”animal-repellent” collection in the garage…in a sealed ziplok. What kind of soap do doctors use? I love that scent!

I used to like Tone but haven't seen it in stores in years now.

I prefer Lavender if I am buying. When I make soap I tend to make mint. I dont think either of them has a lasting scent on me.

I like food scented soap- citrus, lemongrass, mint (makes you feel really refreshed after showering with it), vanilla etc. Floral scented soaps give me a screaming headache.

Unscented Dial. I cannot use anything with a scent. Does not matter if it is body soap, laundry detergent, Dawn, candles, or anything else.

I'm partial to Fresh soaps. Various scents. They've dialed back on their offerings, which is disappointing, but at least they're still available. For now, anyway.

Anything from Los Poblanos Farm Shop. A friend gave DH a couple of bars as a gift, and now it's the only soap he uses. I use an unscented glycerin because of allergies.

I don't like scents, but I bought this yesterday because I thought it was kind of funny. It's a bit more scented that I'd thought, so it may just become a gift.

The last soap I bought that had a fragrance was Nina Ricci, and I also like her cologne, but I haven't bought any for a long time.

Years ago I was waiting or a morning train when a lady very politely asked what perfume I was wearing. I was puzzled because I didn't wear perfume, which I told her. She came back in a minute to press her question. She really wanted to be able to buy that perfume! Only after I was on the train did I realize that she must have smelled the Emlin soap I'd showered with that morning.

Now I can't find it, and I can't really describe the scent. It's pink, so maybe tuberose...

I always liked Camay or Lux bar soap scent because they reminded me of my grandmother. I also remember Sweetheart soap.

I use Dove bar soap now.

PattiG(rose), I remember Sweetheart soap, too! It smelled so good! I've used Camay and Lux, and other soaps that are no longer around.

Sweet Heart soap was the soap of choice for soap carvers back when that was a thing. Someone gave me a book once. Unusual hobby.

Chisue, i looked up Emlin soap and there are several sellers on ebay that have the Hyatt sample size bars for sale. They are not cheap and the description says it is made with mink oil. Nit sure what gives it the fragrance tho. One google search however showed what looked like a full sized bar on Poshmark for $21. Apparently the company has gone out of business.

I prefer shower gels as a rule and use Native eucalyptus and mint most of the time. Occasionally I will use a bar with a lavender or light patchouli scent.

OP -- Thanks for researching the Emlin. I'm not sure the Hyatt soaps are the same thing, but I am tempted to buy some and see if it's not too costly. IDK how Ebay works. Do sellers list a 'reserve' for people to bid up, or could I buy for the price listed -- plus shipping?

I'm also eying the Vidal Sassoon hair dryer/stylers on Ebay to replace mine that failed -- after only about 20 years. I haven't found anything new with enough drying power; they all seem more for styling with heated rollers and not enough hot AIR. Mine was white with rose-color prongs.

Chisue, some sellers have a sort of auction and you can place a bid on an item. The seller can either accept or refuse your bid. I’ve bid low on many items and had it accepted. If you want it, you can offer the stated price or ’buy it now’ and it’s done.

Thank you, OP. I haven't bought the soaps yet. I messaged the seller of the multiple bars to ask total weight and 'all in' price if I pay with a CC. While I was there, I did buy a used Vidal Sassoon hair dryer/styler for $35 + tax. It's identical to my old one and is returnable if I pay shipping. I've bought and returned a Conair and a Revlon at T@rget that cost more than that -- too heavy and cumbersome and too slow.
