Dog-gone good story! After getting off bus in nearby village, was hitchhiking home, lady concerned, called cops, the one replying said she said she'd offered to drive me, I said if I'd heard it, I'd have replied, "Thank you, ma'am- that's very kind of you". He, a city cop, asked permission to leave the city to drive me home, and did. Standard time isn't friendly to hitchhikers: two weeks and a bit ago it got dark at 6; now it gets dark at 5. ole joyful (forgot to hit "space" - again! So - had to come back). o j

Thanks, folks, for yer Thanksgiving feast offered to this furriner this after-noon! o j (When I had to change first letter in "this", it did it O.K. - but when I changed the last letter and didn't hit "space" and "delete" - it ddidisdisadisapdisappdisappedisappeadisappeardisappearedisappeareddisappeared). (didn'didn't hit "space" after my period - sorry, ladies). (When I did the edit there were three lines of "disappeared" - eenendendiendinending in the c9mplete word, plus bracket and period). o j - still here, (I think) E T A: If you're using a phone, turn it sideways. o j

In case the sign on the back of the store employee is too blurry to read, it says, "The canned pumpkin is in aisle 5 under the Jello."

salonva - I bought some cookies that were so bad - DH asked me this morning about the package of them and where they came from. I told him I bought them at our local Superette and they were so bad, our dog wouldn't eat them.

I agree, too. I like getting up with the sun and hate getting up in the dark. At my latitude, switching back to standard time would be better if it came one week earlier.

Hmm, thought i wrote a comment but i dont see it. Sherry, i actually agree. The extra hour in the morning is wasted on me, since Im a night owl. I also dont like driving in the dark, so Id rather have more light in the evening.
