I having been a country resident without wheels from early June till the end of October, was glad when our church began in-sanctuary meetings three werks ago, I went, and during worship, when my phone rang (it plays "morning glory") it was a neighbour who'd brought food to my house ... so I went out into the hall to phone him back to say I was O K and thank him. Having been to almost no gatherings in months, while I attended a newly revivified, as they hadn't been using Zoom, monthly meeting of local subscribers of "Canadian Moneysaver" magazine ... Paul called to say he was at my door with food ... so I shut off the phone and headed for the hall again - I was in another church, as a matter of fact. @jeb ... that kisser teacher looks somewhat like a toaster to me ... but they're best approached when not hot, aren't they! @eld ... sometimes commas are important: for a few seconds I wondered whether it was the needy kids in need of the flowers! @Rusted ... as one 3 1/2 times the age of your illustrated one ... may I request that we old farts be handled with care, please? ole joyfuelled

Well I got a surprise last week when I left for my aunt's around 11am to meet up with a contractor she had hired (she's 92 and wanted someone else there). They told us they would be there at noon....well by 1:30pm no one, so I called. "Oh, I said 2pm", yeah right. I know the difference between the words "noon and 2pm". Anyway, I didn't leave her house until 3:30pm. When I got home, the two outside cats came running to meet me, followed me into the house. When I finally sat down to relax, one cat immediately climbed onto my lap. The other bigger cat was determined to sit on my lap too. Since there was no room, he gingerly inched his way onto my chest and laid right there! I never saw them act this way. It was like I had been gone for days. lol

I once got the hosta 'Nantucket' delivered to me in a bucket. Forgotten, in time it then turned to slime and all I could do was say, “chuck it”. tj
