I'm sad to hear that he's a real person who died? They're my absolute favorite. Before COVID, this is what I would get at work, for my snack, on occasion. A prepackaged serving of these cookies, and some milk. I haven't seen them in the hospital cafeteria in a long time. Probably my favorite comfort food. I wish his family the same comfort he's given me all these years.

ETA: just bought a box of 30 individually wrapped servings. In honor.

Sad news. I developed a wheat sensitivity a number of years ago. So. it's been some time since I had one. I still loved seeing the cookies in various sandwich shops and such.

I remember Famous Amos. It seemed odd. A store just selling cookies in Hollywood. But that was a time when Hollywood was kind of wild and woolly, especially at night. By then The Expert had perfected his recipe, so FA wasn't as big a deal amongst the devotees of TE, but still way better than most available at the time. I knew the corporate takeover wasn't smooth or easy. I hope FA's life after the cookie shop was rich and happy for the most part. RIP indeed.
