First I paid $150 for a furnace check. Then $150 for a radon check.

Nothing was wrong with the furnace. It's only 10 years old. The radon levels in the basement were waaaaaaay below normal. I was NOT required to pay for either. Now this renter wants me to pay $165 for bug extermination, since they found a spider AND an earwig in the house. One of each. Colorado law says as a landlord I AM respondible for "pest" extermination of an infestation. Unless they can send me a photograph of MORE than one earwig or MORE than one spider....I'm refusing to pay for an exterminator.

Note: Earwigs eat live trees, they are borers. They don't live in houses. The cat could have brought it in on it's fur. Or if you leave a window open....since it's HOT...and the house has NO AC.

Wouldn't it be nice if they could buy some bug spray and leave me alone. I just want to tell people to get a hobby. 🌎 It's a BIG world out there. Go forth....and enjoy it.

Six months of this. This particular tenant is really getting under my skin. End of rant. 🐻
