My brick rental house backs a walking path maintained by the gardeners for an upscale retirement community. There's a pond with cattails, benches. The neighbor called me,Love my neighbors @ this house!.....said the renters moved out...yet their cars were there...so...we'll see. Now they were some drama! lol

Sorrow. The last picture of my sister and me. June 3, 2019. On April 13, 2019, she was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic cancer. They said 3-6 months. She didn't even make 2 months. Died on my dad's birthday, June 9, 2019. I am the oldest sibling in my family, always figured I'd be the first to go. Never thought it would be Sandy, who was number 4 of 6. I remember standing on my tiptoes looking at her in the buggy the day she and Mom came home from the hospital. Luckily, I have many pictures and great memories. This winter of staying home all the time, I have had too much time to grieve.

My exchange student and I redid the dining room chairs this weekend. I bought the material from somewhere, I think, Nicole had recommended. Thank you! The hardest part was taking out all the staples. There were so many and so many broke when pulling them up. The chairs are all done now, legs tightened. They just have to last a couple more years. I'm going to replace the dining set when I replace my kitchen. I liked the set when I bought them but now I really don't like the distressed look, they just look dirty all the time.

I was going to post a pic of a goldfish....I recently went back to my old Photobucket and found a lot of old pics, but I love snakes too....so here is a snake that I "knew" from when I lived on the bayou. I called her Big Mama. She is a plain bellied water snake....also sometimes called a yellow bellied water snake. Most often confused as a cotton mouth moccasin and usually killed by people who don't know the difference, or by a lot of people who just don't care. This is a cottonmouth. You can easily tell by the facial markings....the bar thru the eyes. This is Ten Dogs. They also have vertical pupils but you don't have to get close enough to see that...you can easily tell by the facial markings. And non poisonous water snakes have vertical lines on their lower jaws. If you can recognize the four poisonous snakes found in the US, you don't have to fear snakes. It really isn't difficult. And, because I found this old photo....this is the goldfish I was going to post. I don't know why I caught it and put it in that bowl....most likely looking for a pair to spawn. This is a comet....they have a long, single tail. Actually, called a Sarassa Comet, which just means a red and white comet.
