I think Ryan Seacrest is the new host.

I enjoy the show, but it’s on at 6:30 here which has always been an awkward time for us.

I don't like the show, especially Sajak.

I watched many years ago. I too enjoyed Vanna’s dresses. I'm not a fan of Ryan Seacrest. He is everywhere.

Pat and Vanna are close friends outside of the show. Their families vacationed together.

They shoot shows back to back and they have lots of time off being taping each season.

Vanna has done very well. I think she invests in real estate.

It is impressive for a show to be on for so long. I think Pat’s health issue made him decide to leave sooner than later.

I think he will be still working for the show behind the scenes.

I've always liked Wheel, Pat and Vanna! I'm surprised to see that some do not like Pat.

I like the show for playing along with, but could take or leave Pat. If the remote is anywhere near my wife, the she chooses ”leave”, specifically because of her dislike for him. To me he’s a bit goofy in an old man kind of way, especially the interaction with Vanna at the end of the show. I feel he hosts with all the charisma one can expect after doing the same mindless job, decade after decade. I can’t imagine what creative input he’d add behind the scenes, but then I surely underestimate rhe effort of production.

That negativity aside he’s a fixture for sure and I’ll be sorry to see him go. I feel like we’ve been overexposed to Seacrest over the years, and while I don’t mind him I wish they would have thought a bit more out of the box with the choice for replacement.

The show will go on, just like Jeopardy has. To me Trebek already seems like a distant memory at this point.

I always enjoyed Pat. My wife, not so much.

I was touched by Vanna's farewell to him last night. Wonder how she'll get along with Seacrest?

The show was never on the screen in my house, other than if it preceded something else I wanted to watch and I'd turned it on the station some minutes early.

His manner seemed crotchety, disinterested and distant. Neither the game nor the host held any attraction for me.

I think Ryan will do well as the new host. He seems very personable. Read he starts in September. I'll be watching tonight.

Not a fan of Seacrest, but I rarely watched wheel so they won't be missing my tv set.

Pat looked very dapper in his diuble breasted suit tonight and Vanna was a knockout in red. Just read that she had signed a contract to stay on through 2026 season. I still won’t be watching.

I wonder if Maggie will take on the letter-turning responsibilities, on top of her other work with Wheel?

I'd play the Wheel of fortune version of Wordle, that might be fun :)

Gotta agree I have no idea how Pat had the job that long. He's just rather milk toast and a yawn. Major AWKWARD as the kids would say. Vanna how BIZZARE she became an iconic figure. I still remember the news cycle where she told the world she keeps her teeth white by rinsing them in the shower against the pouring shower head!! The concept for the show is fun to participate in if we could just stand Pat and the stupidity of a Vanna at all. We don't catch it often--it's on when we walk but we have fun playing against the contestants when the weather keeps us home.

When I'm done dealing with my "duties", dealing with rental contracts, HOA people and their contracts....I want to veg. Not think, not dice about how to get something done...just be comfortable...safe...happy....that's when I turn on the boob tube. I make it a point to watch...maybe ...once a week.

I like the show, have watched for years. Here it comes on before Jeopardy and after the CBS evening news. As for Pat I have to disagree with most and say I do like him and actually think his banter and jokes are funny - my style of humor I guess. However, I do agree that he could be a bit crotchety with some guests. Seems like if they made too much noise or were stealing the spotlight he more or less told them to "tone it down". Did NOT know he had health issues other than he was absent for some time last year? was it COVID? or surgery of some type?

I thought for sure Maggie (or Megan?) would replace Vanna. Perhaps eventually. As for Ryan, not all that familiar with him other than seeing his face a lot.

I enjoy watching Wheel of Fortune, and I like Pat Sajak. Vanna, not so much, but I don't dislike her as much as I used to years ago. I like the fact that it is a good, clean, family oriented show, no suggestive or foul double entendres. And I like to 'test' myself by playing along with the contestants.

As for Ryan Seacrest, I have no idea who he is (am I the only one on the planet who doesn't?), I'm just glad Vanna isn't taking over as host. Also glad that Maggie isn't taking her dad's place. Seems like I read some time ago that that was a possibility.

This feels like the WayBack Machine. We haven't watched a game show in forever. Must be abnormal, right? They're still makin' em'.

Right now I want to watch some local news for a few minutes -- despite the dropoff in talent. (You'd think a market like Chicago could do better.) Cable is too intense for a steady diet.

Ryan Seacrest has been hosting American Idol since its inception, cohosted and then succeeded Dick Clark on the New Year’s Eve show, has cohosted Live with Kelly, and generally, it seems, modeled his career on Dick Clark. He’s everywhere and I can’t imagine he ever sleeps!
