Am I covering myself here or am I missing something that should be in writing? Tile is warrantied against any further or new defects in the tile for the expected life of the tile to include- (The expected life needs to be determined) -Existing tile chips will not enlarge or expand to any degree. -Existing chips will not have any effect on the structural integrity of the tile. -Existing tile will not show any signs of additional chipping. -The warranty by the manufactor shall include at thier expense any and all cost associated with having to replace the exsisting tile due any and all issues associated with their product. The Sales Rep offering this warranty has the consent to do so on behalf of the company and should the sales rep no long be employed by said company this warranty in full shall still be in effect and honored by said compay. The original double hung windows in my old (1870's) house were replaced by a PO with wood windows that ride in steel tracks (jambliners) that have a white powdercoat finish. (The edges of the wood windows are unpainted.) I'm taking the windows apart to replace the broken parts that keep them from staying up when open. The steel tracks are looking a little tired. A few have bare spots where I spilled paint remover (before I decided to take them apart), and some have light rust (mostly on the backs). Since I'm taking the windows apart anyway, I'd like to clean up the tracks and paint them (or touch them up). Is there any durable white low-gloss paint that would be up to the task? I don't want to create new problems, but I'd really like to spiff these up while I have the chance. There are so many new specialty paints (appliance, automotive, radiator, etc) -- surely there must be something that would work in this situation. The paint would need to be: 1) Durable (won't chip or peel easily and hold up to usage over time) 2) Suitable for metal 3) Not require stripping the frames to bare metal (a nightmare in this case) 4) Available in a non-yellowing white with a non-shiny finish 5) Appropriate for Indoor/outdoor use. (I have storms, but the tracks would be exposed to a range of temperatures in New England.) 6) Preferably available as a a spray I don't want to send the tracks out to be stripped and re-coated because it wouldn't be worth the cost (better to just replace the windows). Ditto for buying new tracks (which are available as far as I have been able to find only in unpainted aluminum). Assuming I do paint the tracks, I'd like to just remove the rust and spot-prime, and use a paint deglosser (liquid sander) overall before painting. Sound reasonable? Recommendations for paints and primers? (Please tell me where I can buy them if they're not easy to find.) I'd also appreciate any painting and prep tips or suggestions for this project For example, how long should the paint cure before I re-install the windows? Thanks! I am in the process of finalizing a new pool contract. The entire automation package with the Intellitouch is just under $3400 with installation. Intellitouch Load Center Intellitouch i9+3 Indoor Control Panel Mobile Touch w/Transceiver With the Intellitouch the Intelliclhor is not included so that is an extra cost. I did have some builders try to sell me the MobileTouch for $1600. I had one tell me that its because of the receiver but the new version MobileTouch w/Receiver is available online for ~$810 from multiple suppliers. Honestly, for most I think they really didn't know the overall costs for the unit since between versions Pentair seemed to discontinue it and re-release with a reduced price. The folks we are going with did the research and priced out the components separately for us then added some markup for their handling. They didn't however double it. I'm not sure whether they do that for every customer since we are a culture with Nordstrom tastes that actually buy from Wal-Mart, but that's the way I wanted it. If they weren't willing to break it down then we didn't want the bid. In the end they were more expensive overall but I didn't feel like I had to pull teeth just to see what my money was buying. They trusted me to recognize their honesty and value so now I trust them. Interesting point though about the ScreenLogic and IPad.

I'm not sure anything that becomes rigid when dry is going to be a good choice because the way the wood of the wall and floor will expand and contract differently with changes in humidity. I think a color matched caulk would be a better choice. In addition to the "general construction" type caulks you might also want to look at caulks that come the companies that make tile grout. Many of companies offer dozens of colors, maybe you can get lucky there. Frankly you'd be better off using some kind of little wood moulding. There's a reason they invented the stuff...
