Hardest Non Porous White-Grey Quartzites?
Comments (35)I didnt pick out the paint color for the master bath, only the master bedroom. The floor tile is in the picture at the bottom, light in color. CP I feel so bad for your sister and completely understand why she feels the way she does. I put the sample in water, it absorbed it quickly and lemon did etch BUT it also scratched glass easily. The etching left behind was smooth. Kim yikes on the price! My slab is 84/sq ft. Jan I am utilizing the slab for the laundry, master and guest bath because I do not want to waste it and you have to buy the slab. I really liked this slab but may go look for something else at another yard. I appreciate everyone's help and suggestions and am planning on speaking to my fabricator. I knew there were lots of quartzites out there and some are harder than others and some etch and some stain. Am thankful for people posting to let me know how their quartzites are holding up. I love the fusion quartzites but bet they are expensive. I am kind of bored with granite. The quartzites are so beautiful and have that wow factor....See MoreHelp! what white cabinet color to match calacatta laza
Comments (15)I’m just here looking for other people’s opinions to see if that would help determine if these two match. Yes, we can determine if a paint color and an object - in your case a counter top - relate in terms of color. There's a process to follow, however, so it's a specific color strategy and not abstract guessing while standing in a paint store. We qualify the relationship on the three psychological dimensions of color hue, value and chorma. Using a standard light source called D65. We can also check it under other light sources. The science rule of thumb is if the color "match" or relationship works under 2 to 3 light source models, like daylight D65 and standard incandescent (in science terms called Illuminant A), then it's highly likely that the color relationship - the colors will go together - under ANY light source. This has nothing to do with photos of anything, btw. In order to do this, we need the color data values, the color measurement from the granite sample itself. You would do this using a Color Muse. We do this all day, every day here at The Land of Color. Because we understand everyone isn't an interior designer. Many need a framework to follow to figure out color conundrums. You just need to understand - and it sounds like you do - that your granite sample may not be exact to the slab that ends up installed. I've never personally seen that be that big of an issue, meaning the color appearance from sample to slab is usually close enough that the paint colors identified based on the sample work....See MoreDoes anyone have photos of MSI Calacatta Arno counters?
Comments (262)I just went to the MSI showroom to view slabs. The slabs of Arno I saw had dark gold veining only with a bright white background. No other colors or variation. It was pretty. I'm on the fence. Our contractor said to look for jumbo sizes only. I wasn't expecting that and now feel somewhat limited. Arno is pretty and comes in prefab and jumbo size. Check out Vadara Quartz. I prefer their quartz colors. I also went to their showroom and I think their quartz is gorgeous....See MoreDoes anyone have Calacatta Miraggio quartz?
Comments (302)I dislike ours VERY much!! It looks pretty from far away but everything that touches my counters leaves a scratch or stain. I clean these counters constantly & have silicone mats on to prevent further damage. I have had to baby these counters so much!! I won't put down even a CLEAN spoon without a rag, mat or cork mat underneath. It's only my husband & I (no kids). We aren't rough & toss things on it hap hazardly and I still find new scratches or small stains from the smallest splash or drip of something. Worst decision ever!!!...See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
