Seeking Advice on Master Bathroom Reno! Responses Required ASAP!
Comments (2)I would definitely put a shower where the tub is, but not that big of a shower. Are you able to frame a small linen closet that opens to the hallway?...See MoreBathroom Tile Advice w/ White Midpoint Shower Tile?
Comments (5)One thing you might try-- you can get fancy without having to spend big dollars for custom tile. Might cost you a little more for installation, but not nearly as much as some of the pricier custom lines. You've got white tile going in the shower, with dark blue painted walls and a white vanity. Why not continue the nautical theme, and do a grey floor? Do it diagonal in the center, with a blue accent stripe, and then a straight border, somewhere between 3-6", depending on how big your bathroom is?...See MoreBathroom Floor Tile Advice
Comments (4)To the original question, yes it is REQUIRED that you "take from one side" to ensure you do NOT end up with a sliver on the other side. Not only is this common, it is considered "Best Practices". A tile setter will know this and do it for you. Personally, I think those tiles are too big for your space. Turning them will only create the same issue in the OTHER direction. In fact, if you turn them (seams run parallel to the door jam) you will be cutting HUGE amounts of tiles. And every time you make a cut, you run the risk of destroying the entire tile. More cuts = more waste. Please investigate a small tile. These big tiles are used in massive spaces - because the large spaces show off the tile to their fullest potential. A tiny bathroom will simply feel like you used the wrong sized tile....for financial reasons....See MoreAdvice needed for 12' x 7.5' bathroom floor tile and shower wall tile
Comments (25)Home Depot is the only place within two hours that sells the pre-fab, and the colors are horrible. I need three bathroom countertops, and the largest is 52". I should be able to find remnants, but I can't even find fabricators who have remnants. Nobody has a website and the fabricators don't advertise, at all. I found six places in Tulsa, but none of them have quartzite remnants. I can only find stone suppliers. I will make a list of suppliers this weekend, and call them on Monday. Maybe they have a list of fabricators near me. Even Google maps didn't have anyone listed near me. They didn't have the two fabricators that are a half hour away from me. What is your opinion on glossy vs honed in a bathroom. My kitchen has leathered Sea Pearl quartzite, and I love it. I prefer matte colors usually, but I doubt I would like leathered bathroom countertops....See Moreeld6161
