We are going with Sherwin Williams Rain in our dining room, laundry, and a half bath. It is a blue with gray undertones, in my opinion. I bought one of the small sample sizes from sherwin williams to try it out to be sure and it is beautiful! Ooh, thanks everyone! Graywritingdog, I love that color! in fact I think I have a little chip of it somewhere. Maybe taped on my dining room wall. I've never used Valspar though, do you like it? kmcg85 & annz, the paint on those websites is to die for. I have never used French General or Devine, have you all tried them? They look gorgeous. I think the blue on the FG site is just a little too dark or navyish, but beautiful nonetheless. Jerseydina, thanks for the suggestion. I love those bluish/greenish/grayish colors. I think it's a little grey for my dining room, but I'll keep it in mind for other rooms, which also desperately need painting! It's a great neutral. And rilie, love, love, love those colors. Especially Windsor Haze. Very close to what I'm looking for. Don't know how I missed that one at Home Depot. OK, so now I need to go spend lots of money and buy samples of these so I can decide! Also, was thinking of painting the ceiling in there with color (I'm getting wild). Should I use the same wall color or the same color but one shade lighter? thanks again!

I posted this for you under the DIY Master Bath post, but just in case you didn't see it. sonaliagrawal, my DH just removed an 85" unframed mirror from my boys bathroom. He used two sets of Gordon brand Heavy Duty Suction Cups from Harbor Freight. DH says they were less than $10 a piece. They're designed with a hand grip and a suction cup on either side. They tighten down to the mirror with clips. Without much force, the mirror pulled from the wall and left behind 8-10 blobs of black mastic on the drywall. You then carry the mirror away holding the hand grips, so it helps to have a set regardless of the size of your mirror, so you can balance the weight of the mirror with both arms. I couldn't have removed a mirror this large - it definitely took the strength of a man to carry it away. I used a metal scraper to get off the mastic blobs that would be visible if I remodel with two framed mirrors. They came off but took the top layer of paper from the drywall. Any blobs that will be hidden behind the new mirrors are being left as is. I spackled the torn drywall spots today, but haven't sanded them yet. If there's a better way to get off the mastic, I'd love to hear it. Hope I helped.

Oldbat2be, thank you so much for the mock ups! This was the kick in the pants I needed to talk to my contractor. I forgot to mention that our w/d will be white too so the cabs will likely clash with those, so I think we've got to paint. mdln, good suggestion -- I'm pretty sure they are warm. I'll check and see if cool lights help. daisychain01, thanks, reveal hopefully coming soon! raven, I just looked at Krypton and it is beautiful. I'm going out to get some samples tomorrow and will paint a sample board of my top 3 colors and put it in the room and report back.
