Covid vaccine question

I'm guessing most people here aren't doctors and neither is my daughter but I would like your thoughts. I received five COVID-19 vaccines, the last being in October '22 and was planning on getting the newest one in the fall. Late September I got a flu shot at my doctor's office and the nurse said not to get the covid vaccine for ten days. So I waited and in the middle of October, I got covid. Thanks to the five previous vaccines, it was no worse than a cold. My doctor told me to wait three months to get the vaccine which would be right now but also said that this vaccine didn't cover the newest variant. So my daughter brought up the point that I already have some immunity from the newest strain that the vaccine didn't cover and I should wait till the next vaccine. Your thoughts?
