85" TV does not like it will fit there regardless of the radiator being there or not.

How about on a tv stand ?

Cut out an 85" diagonal paper rectangle. Tape it to the wall. Or use some blue paintert tape. Does it fit?

Consider moving the radiator to the wall perpendicular to the stairwell, just to the left of the stairwell.

Of course the rad needs to go and I do not think you can possibly put that size TV there and have it even close to proper viewing height. Post pics of the whole room here in a comment DO NOT start another post . IMO that size TV needs a huge room with a place that it can be hung at the proper height with a lower type cabinet underit for whatever you need stored

You'll need to remove the heater but this is the perfect situation for a TV lift. Build it into existing furniture or a custom console.

Is this really the best spot in the room for the TV? If you show pics of the room, there may be other ideas

Oh no. Please do not put a TV of any size on that staircase. Where you currently have it seems to be the best spot. I assume its because you don't want to view such a large TV so close, but the answer is not in putting it on the staircase wall, I can tell you that for certain.

I am trying to put 1 more couch/loveseat and have the TV placed far away which is possible length wise.

I was not thinking of putting the TV on the staircase, rather using like a vertical TV stand of sorts.

I'd attempt to disguise that radiator as a vintage suitcase with DIY paint and/or a decorative metal screen from home depot.

I see what you are trying to do now, but you are forcing something to become aesthetically pleasing that never will be. The TV belongs on the wall you already have it on. Add an oversized lounge chair instead and get the largest TV you can for that long wall and be done trying to make something work on a console that floats in front of what is probably a very busy walkway area.

If you need more room for seating, you can always add a couple small ottomans or poufs under a console or on either side of the entertainment console that floats under the TV.

Hold on a second. You have an electric fireplace, 2 space heaters and two radiators in that small room. What's the story with that? Your E bill must be huge.

Those 2 radiators are old. I mostly use the Heat pump ( AC ) and keep the radiators at 68.
I think that window in the picture is not well insulated.
E-Bill is not so bad so far

I missed the heat pump. That would be way more cost effective than those space heaters. My new heat pumps are amazing.

Do you keep them running at a constant temperature all day ?

I would not add a love seat to this space. As mentioned, if you must have a super large TV KEEP on same wall you currently have the TV. I would not go that big. 60-65” is plenty big. Add one comfy chair that swivels if possible for the right side of the sofa. Add small bench opposite it for extra seating if needed. Add nice cozy rug to have feet up off cold floor. Add ottoman for comfort or even more seating.

This might help you decide what TV size and viewing distance will give you the best viewing experience. If you put the 85" TV against the staircase, I don't see how you will be able to put more seating at a good viewing distance. Is there a solid wall behind the sofa?

I'd get rid of the electric fireplace and put the TV there. With a comfortable chair on either side, making a U shape with your sofa. Or a love seat with its back to the window.

@Garden Boi I kept them running 24/7 during the hot months. Now I turn them on to take the chill off and then turn them off. Like you, I have a second floor and heat travels up so it gets too warm up there by night time.

An 85" TV is enormous, even if you put it on the wall where your TV currently is. The room just isn't big enough. It would be like sitting in the first row of a movie theater.

Rethink the size. Sixty or sixty-five inches? OK, but not on the staircase wall.

Okay looks like have to stick with same tv size and have the same width-wise setup as I currently have.
Will add a swivel chair or a recliner on the side of the sofa.
