Need help with backsplash
Comments (15)It’s hard to tell which is which if they’re not both in the picture! I think I like the white better. The gray tone seems a bit off with your counter. Although one thing I learned with this counter is it is impossible to photograph. We’re waiting for our cabinets to come in for the other half of our kitchen, then we’ll be able to get the counters done there, then try to decide on a backsplash. I don’t want to decide until all of that is installed. But my favorite so far I think has been a whiteish marble that had almost zero veining. I think I like something that’s basically just on the line between white and gray....See MoreNeed help choosing backsplash!
Comments (4)Id do a white subway w sheen. balance out all the gray. there isnt a color that would work . the first pic maybe demonstrates an undertone if you care to search..other just clean white subway...brighten things a bit ... i like the light hitting the upper parts of the white cabinets so i'd accentuate that w more white w the tile. then on to hardware and pendants ???...See Moreneed help with backsplash ideas
Comments (16)@herbflavor refinishing is out of the question because its not the finish of the sink that bothers me, it is the seperate bowls. I have seen the flat microedge sinks your talking about, but I have never seen a single bowl in a 43" size. Thank your for the ideas though, I appreciate it. @Rachel Lee I have done far more than a quick google search, lol. I have done in depth searches . Top mount, single bowl work station sinks in the "replacement" size just do not exist. I also don't actually like my countertops, but they are in reallly good shape so it makes replacing them seem extravagant to me. Thank you for your help ;) @rebasheba - I fully agree about the abundance of wood. The fake butcher block formica is bothersome to me. I would have loved just about any other color, green, turquoise, orange, red, white, etc.. And I may very well be putting off the backsplash for another day, just to get the sink replaced in a timely manner. @RNmomof2 zone 5 a basic 4x4 tile would be fine. I'm just not sure what I want that tile to look like. I may go ahead with the countertops though and deal with the backsplash after the fact. @kandrewspa & @chloebud the modern white looks like slightly warm to my eye when I have it in my kitchen. Regardless of where I set it. I had a few other samples. One was a glacier white but it took on a slightly pink look in my kitchen. The other was designer white, it was a cool white for sure and just looked dingy against the warm tones. The modern white looked the best and the brightest of the 3. With no weird undertones. Again, this is just to my eye. To be honest, I am afraid of having it installed and then thinking its to stark for my warm kitchen. If that happens it will be a very expensive $7000 mistake that I have to live with. So I certainly have a big underlying fear with all this. I will post a few pics of the samples in my kitchen....See MoreHi I need help with backsplash please for BM simply white cabinets
Comments (4)It might be best to look at some other subway tile samples, do the countertop as the backsplash, or look at adding some color. Here are some ideas for you from a few designs:...See MoreBoxerpal
