I don't think it does either. In our master bath we put ORB lighting, because it's an older home and I didn't want everything to scream shiny. I also put ORB bin pulls and latches on the vanity (plus a small ORB towel bar on the vanity. I did choose polished nickel faucets, tub filler, robe hook, towel bar (on wall) and tp holder. My thought process was...I wanted certain things to look old, as if they existed earlier, and certain things I wanted to look new and shiny. (OK, I am known for overthinking!) It all works. In my girls' bath, I chose satin nickel, but had a hard time mixing it up. The only thing different is the door knob (because it already existed) and shower hooks I had that are vintage style but shiny chrome. I might add in chrome for a soap pump and other accessories because in reality I do like the combo. The BEST way I think to see what you like is to look at tons of pictures. I generally like to see the same finish in two places, so something doesn't look like the odd man out, but it's not necessary.

I dont have pictures that would show this, but ... My Kitchen has polished nickel faucets, and polished nickels pulls on one run of cabs. I have another area that looks like a built in hutch, and it has aged brass. My island has ORB. My range has PN and brass. My breakfast room has wrought iron and mercury. My fridge has old fridge hardware, i think it looks like brushed nickel? Maybe it will look terrible, lol. But my color scheme is very neutral and there is no pattern anywhere and I want an unfitted look. So I think it will work. Whether it will work for you depends on the style of your kitchen. Do you want unfitted, or sleek? Do you want it to feel old? I think mismatch is always more interesting if you can pull it off.

@Kristin S, not sure but I can certainly ask. I really need a middle ground between the Polished Brass and Satin Nickel. The Polished Brass seems too gold for me and the satinnickel slightly too muted. Hard to tell but is the Top Bronze kind of in between? Going to go online and see the difference. At the end of the day, the pulls are so subtle so maybe I should stop belabouring on this point and I guess I could always just change them out after the fact (although my husband would kill me!!) ... LOL. Thanks!!

For folks who tried Newport Brass to match Kohler moderne brass. I went to a showroom and it looked like Newport's "Satin Brass" was a closer match than "Satin Gold"... This comment thread makes it sound like Satin Gold is actually the better match??
