I HATE shopping!
Comments (24)Another short person here. I went into a store for tan pants. Easy, right? Nope - every pants there was cropped. The clerks kept saying, "You're so short that you can wear them for pants". Well, they don't look right. First of all they show about 3" of ankle, and if you are wearing tennis shoes, you look like a basketball player in those ridiculous shorts. Then the bottom part is too wide anyway. I, too, hate the cropped look. A short leg should not be chopped up that way. So it's old shorts for me, and old pants too. My biggest gripe is shirts without darts. Blouses will not button around my chestal area until the size is big enough that the underarms are hanging to my waist!!! The clerk does not even know what a dart is! Wait, Wait - another gripe is bras that adjust in the back. No man would put up with underwear that has to be adjusted and then put on, and then taken off, and adjusted until you get it right. Does anyone else have trouble with pants that have tiny little eyehooks on the side of the waist? Don't they realize there is a protrusion in the line of site? I am fairly flexble for my age - and still have trouble with this one. I believe that all fashion designers are women-hating. Even the women. The best shoe department is at Dillards in Northpark. It is huge. I see women there all the time, strapping their feet onto shoes with ramps 6" high. Some are small women, but how do those really large women do this? The stress must be unbelievable on the ball of their foot. My feet are not built for that being totally flat. And have you ever seen a man's shoe with wood for a sole? No wonder men think we are not-to-be-understood. I don't understand us....See MoreSwimsuit shopping
Comments (14)Wow - I have no idea why this popped up again! I ended up getting a couple of suits from Sunsets and am VERY happy with them. I have to say, I'm a bit surprised at the consensus regarding Land's End.... I've ordered a few of their pieces and haven't kept any. Some of their solid color pieces are okay... but most of their patterns are not very appealing IMO. Personal preference I guess. This is one of the suits I got last spring.... Now that I have a brand I like, and I know what size I need, it's not so bad. They have lots of colors and patterns to chose from, so it's been kinda fun. :) Their sister site, Swim Systems, also has some nice pieces too. Comments (19)I am so glad this thread came back up because I just recently got a new bra that is with out doubt the most comfy easy to put on bra I have ever had. I had bought the same bra in the back hook style and liked it but then they came out with the same great bra in a front hook style, I got it immediately and have been wearing it often, It is great, does not come unhooked has soft padded shoulder straps and is light and comfy, it has not ridden up on me once which is a miracle! This is the link to it. I got it on sale, the sale price was $19.99 and I had a 40% off coupon so got it very cheap now I wish I had got more since it is no longer on sale. If you choose to get one be sure you do a google search for their coupon codes there are tons of them available. Also they have a bra club if you buy 5 bras from them over a year or something you will get a free bra or rather a coupon good for the purchase of one. Wirefree front-hook seamless leisure bra by Comfort Choice Here are some codes to help you save money. One is a mother's day special so it ends tomorrow!! 50% off your highest priced item WW50MOM (5-9 expires) 40% off your highest priced item WW52319 (6-7) 30% off your highest priced item WW51097 (6-7) for me the size runs true on this bra....See MoreBra Shopping Craziness
Comments (95)I have heavy breasts and have struggled with bra shopping for years (anywhere from 34-36 DD-E). My issues were always neck and shoulder discomfort. I was introduced to the Fit Fully Yours line after a custom fitting at a specialty lingerie boutique that I had to drive 2 hours to get to (I live in the boonies). I was a bit skeptical because I'd never even heard tell of Fit Fully Yours before, and they're not cheap, but I bought one that day. Then I went back a few months later and bought another. Turned out to be the best thing I've ever done. I haven't worn another brand since, but I have no personal experience with their sports bra. (I wear the Maxine Moulded which says it is 'engineered for women with heavy breasts'... maybe that's mainly just marketing hoopla... but it's worked for me!)...See More- 2 years agolast modified: 2 years agocaflowerluver thanked morz8 - Washington Coast
